They're just lucky. The matchmaking is RNG. They could play against dumpster garbage players 7 games with the ability to lose 1 time there in mix. Assuming you buy all the boons.

I did on 3 characters but never got the good luck. Played probably 6 or 8 games across my 4 attempts that were total PVP Gods on the other team...
