Yes. And if the raid is based on a PvP or survival type of game play aspect, then shotguns are going to be used by a lot of players, as their main weapon choice. The word 'Arena' envokes something not similar to the Vault of Glass. And Crota's End was nothing like Vault of Glass. Arena will probably be mechanically very different than either of the previous raids.

What kind of PVP aspects are you talking about? There's not much difference gameplay wise between PvP and PvE. No matter what it'll still be a raid, with stages and bosses. If you're looking for a survival/horde mode raid Bungie already gave it to us with Crotas End, the whole thing is about fighting mobs of Hive all the way to the boss fight

I am not asking for this, or suggesting this is what it will be. But, considering the name: Arena. It makes one think of something like Curdun Cay, Running Man(movie), American Gladiators(show)... some sort of tiered, survival sort of test, maybe with puzzles, possibly for the Queen's people's entertainment. As far as we've seen they don't have anything that would work as a puzzle, somewhat like a vex sync plate. Anything they've thrown at us in a raid has been something we've done within the story already. If you look at the missions we are hunting down people for the Queen, that will most likely be the premise of the raid. Just because it's named the Arena doesn't mean the Queen is going to have us fighting for our lives in a stadium. It just wouldn't make sense considering she needs our help and we aren't her entertainment.
