Truth about the mighty Gjallarhorn
While I was sitting on the toilet reading the weapons booklet that comes with the limited edition of Destiny I came across something xurners won't be pleased about... on page 44 it states Gjallarhorn will not be given out. It must be "earned".

I understand Xur has sold it, but if you had enough strange coins week 2 you "earned" it.

Actually, This ISN'T talking about the game AT ALL! It is talking about the LORE. The gjallarhorn was forged from the armor from all of the dead guardians who fell at the battle of twilight gap. The gjallarhorn was then AWARDED to those who survived the battle. This is RNG, you earn nothing unless xûr... (You have to work a set task to EARN those coins... Which means you had to have completed the weekly to receive those... Earning. Xûr/vender is the only way to "earn" in this game. You have to work for those weapons/armor, therefor you earned them.

I had to grind Iron Banner for a week, doing bounties and winning matches, to get to rank 5, plus farming glimmer. Then spending lots of motes to get the right perks. If Xur sells it Gjallahorn, I'll buy two more. I'll demand every one in my fireteam to buy it, as I did when Ice Breaker was on sale. Then, I'll get my popcorn for reading the snowflake's posts.

Not sure if this happened week 1 or 2, but early on Xur let you buy a strange coin with motes of light. I think Xur only let you buy one but you could still make a new character and buy another. The players abused this so bungie took it off his sell list, the same day. So some of the player that bought it week 2 did have an advantage.

8 回复Lemme get this straight. If you had strange coins in week 2 and bought it, it was earned, BUT if you have strange coins in week 23 and bought it, it wasn't. f4ck outta here

Got my first way way back in the early days. I got my second last week from Crota! I made a video of me dismantling it :) you can view it on xbox. I tried uploading to Youtube but I cant get that to work :( but managed to message it out to my friends. It's what I like to use as a motivational tool for my friends to get there shit together and get Crota done :) Edit: I got my second off Crota normal mode.
