I just party chat with my buddies while we all do different things. Sometimes I'll Netflix while shooting the shit. You don't have to play the same game to be on the same virtual couch.

    I'm sure that works for you, but I absolutely despise it when I am in a chat party where that is going on. I don't want to hear some movie or comedy special that one guy is watching, or hear someone going on about things happening in whatever random game they are playing. If we're not playing the same game I don't want you in my chat. Then again, I'm not the most social person in the world, so my opinion is likely the minority.

    We all have headsets in general, so there's no extraneous audio. And I mostly know their significant others as well, so it's all pretty mellow.
