What do you guys think of pulse rifles?[/quote] I believe that Pulse Rifles are the least powerful of the Primary Slot Weapons, based on extensive testing by myself and other members of the Community. Strongest Exotic Pulse Rifle (PR) is Red Death with moderate Impact and a Healing effect, whereas the weakest Exotic is Bad Juju with low Impact, an ability that increases Super charge rate, and an instant magazine reload ability when NPCs are killed. Only problem with Juju is that even with the increased magazine size, the Impact is so low that it will take 2+ magazines to drop an Ultra/Major of equivalent Guardian Level. This is the same problem that most PRs suffer from is low Damage per Second (DPS). Assault Rifles (AR) usually have a higher RoF than PRs, a larger magazine and an equivalent (if not higher) Impact causing a noticeable difference in damage when parsed over time. Differences in DPS are even more pronounced when comparing HandCannons & Scout Rifles against PRs, with Pulse Rifles being at the bottom of the pile. I honestly am glad that you found a PR you enjoy playing with; keep in mind that the last time Bungie checked data on weapon usage, not one Legendary+ Pulse Rifle appeared in the Top 10 Weapons for PvE or PvP - that's a Red Flag showing that the PR category needs to be buffed...hopefully that buff will be coming soon to return Bad Juju to it's rightful place as a favored Exotic. :-)

Red Death is great for the self-heals, but doesn't quite have the satisfying stopping power seen in the Suros/Vex/Hawkmoon/etc. Bad Juju struggles to chew through majors/ultras, and pretty much only excels at sweeping little trash mobs, or when used with the Obsidian Mind. Most legendary Pulse Rifles suffer from a lack of impact as well, minus Three Little Words. Pulse Rifles SHOULD feel like a comfortable hybrid that has the flexibility of an auto rifle blended with the wicked punch of a scout rifle, but they don't. They just feel awkward and hard to properly fit into your loadout when you have so many more consistent options. If you ask me, the entire weapon class needs tweaking and improving.

Pulse rifles? The only weapon class that is a 99.5% instant dismantle. Only the exotics are kept and only red death is still being considered as a keeper. I can't say how useful they are in pvp but absolutely pointless in pve. Bad range, bad DPS, bad recoil, pointless.

Funny story I was playing vog Friday on hard and got fatebringer. I know this is off topic but right after that I got an exotic from the chest. LOL. I lost 5 friends that day. LOL :-)

Bad Juju 2.0 is a beast.. Yes.. Red Death may come in handy here in this up-coming hard CE... I'll give you the two exotic Pulse Rifles.. I wanted to like Pulse Rifles..even bought Three Little Words.. I just find too many other alternatives that work just as if not much better..

Sure you can do good with them, but another weapon would serve you better 99.9% of the time. Pulse Rifles need [b]Buuuuuufff!!![/b]

Don't really know what role they're supposed to play though. I do better with Scout Rifles than with Pulse Rifles.
