Don't generate orbs? Argument is invalid, I generate orbs with hive headshots. Just as many as a bitch hunter does with his one orb per kill on golden gun.
Don't help my team out? You've obviously never done a hard raid before.
Use it as a crutch? No. As a back up plan? Yes. My raid team still gets the hidden chest in VoG from me and another WARLOCK down there blocking the templars teleports. Wanna know what happens if a hunter or titan were in my position? They would die, miserably. A defender titan may block it once with their shield, but not enough to stop all teleports.
Your argument is invalid. Don't try to hate on other classes because you're trash.

Wait, you're using an armour perk to defend your super choice? If a hunter is only generating one orb per kill then he's doing it wrong. he should be taking out several enemies with each shot. And no, it's just as easy for any class to block the templar - and you'd be able to do it even better with Radiant Skin instead of Self-Res. I don't hate on other classes, I play as all classes. I'm just trying to get people to leave Self-Res behind as the other perks are so much more use to everyone.

They trash it because they don't know how to make a good character build. Everyone is so focused on having high INT they don't realize self res allows you to run high STR and DIS, coupled with the claws you get double nades and double melee with great cooldown.
