Let's make a deal

I like this game (when it's working) and so I'd like to buy the expansion, but I definitely will not do so if the networking issues are not resolved. I realize Bungie is probably aware of the effects that network errors could have on sales, but I wanted to impress upon them that for many, it will be the determining factor in their decision to buy future products - regardless of their affinity for the game. And so Bungie, I propose a deal: If I get through five consecutive control matches without an error code, I will buy the expansion pass immediately. Or, as a temporary measure, I might be convinced to buy the first DLC if you elaborate when you say you are working on "Bee/Fly/Lion." E.g. Who's working on it? Do they have theories? Are they running tests? Do you have headhunters working to steal smart people from other companies? We want to know that there's substance behind your promise that you are working on it, that there's a carrot at the end of the stick.

  • I think it bungie fault because my connection is good and never crashes or lose connection until i started to play destiny...

  • Connection issues are your fault. Usually I have no problem, but my connection gets crappy sometimes only.

    • Definitely know how you feel man especially because I've loved all of Bungie's games leading up to Destiny. Bungie, if u can hear this, help us all.

    • Given that the stupid game puts up an alert with every error ([i]and generally blame your router[/i]) why can't it tally these up and offer some type of compensation ... sure many have earned the right to free expansion packs by now.     • I can't complete 1 iron banner game all day. I get the errors : weasel, baboon, lion, hare, caterpillar, cloudberry... Etc. Nobody is using a device except me, my connection should be flawless. We want answers!! It's been over month with this constantly occurring. No feedback to the community in these disconnect issues. Yet you work on new DLC when most people can't connect to their friends or play for 10 min without a disconnect and error message. Take the game offline for a week until you can fix every error in the game. Don't give us a broken game on broken servers and expect us to buy your DLC. When half the time I can't even play!!

    • 3 words: Fix Your Internet. Since I have bought destiny, I have only had errors like 4 times. Personally, I do not have any problem while playing destiny: lag, disconnections, or errors while matchmaking. Have a nice day young blood :)

      • I see posts like this all the time, but I don't understand the issue. I've never experienced any of these issues like bumblebutt or crouching tiger or whatever they are. Please don't take this as pokin' fun at you, but perhaps it's ur internet. Tho I do not know the innermost workings of these things, it seems unlikely that my semi decent internet connection can blow away yours

        • To weary kid these mods are keyboard hitmen and if you touch on any valid points they launch on you like a pack of wolves with their cronies. They will piss off the wrong person one of these days. There are steps that you can take, if you do have the means do what you have to do. These people have no clue money talks and if you have enough somebody would back even the craziest lawsuits. I personally have compiled a list of mailing addresses that will be posted in different spots. The fact is this game was hastily throw together and hastily thought out, original material cut and made into dlcs. It is plagued with issues and their is 0 customer support, except for the mod squad. They spent to much time patting their own backs and hyping this game, instead of making it, hence redundant gameplay and countless glitches. One thing to remember they can blow smoke all they want, but you do have legal rights as a consumer. They have the responsibility to provide what they promised and if they don't, well there you go. The best way to go on this would be petition and talk to your friend class action, if this has affected you at all then you have grounds. They are not as large of a company as they portray themselves, they are not untouchable and you can't treat consumers like this forever. Go through the posts, every time someone makes a valid point that they don't want to address the mod squad comes in and clutters the thread and discredits you with cheap shots. If you are serious stay the course and remember you do have rights

            • I've contacted a lawyer man, he said it can be brought to court under false advertising, since no one can play and they keep booting us and even though it's their fault they avoid it to stay out of legal trouble. You can't sell a broken game, you can't lie to people showing what an awesome game this is and yet screw them and make it so they can never play.

              • Do you have this on xbox or playstaion because the xbox servers are better is what I noticed. My friend has a PS4 and he just can not play destiny. I have an Xbox one and he has to come over to play it with me because he's got a PS4. I'm not saying Playstation is worse than xbox, I'm saying because you pay for xbox servers, they have a lot more money to spend on the servers to maintain and repair than sony. I'm sorry I'm only telling the truth

                    • I feel the same way too in regards to the expansion. I enjoyed the game up to the point of just dealing with constant issues ever since the second patch. I want to get the expansion and enjoy the game further, but with the same errors for the past months going on. Makes me not want to bother wasting money on something that I wont be able to play. Also why I don't play as much as I used to anymore.

                    • Id just like to actually get in the game! I try to login and it disconnects me from Live half the time. The other half I try to go to the tower and boom, gone again. I occasionally get 20 minutes or so in before this starts happening.

                        • lets modify that deal, every time we get disconnected Bungie credits us with strange coins or other suitable comp. I've just been booted out 8 times mid mission. I'd mind less if they re-inserted you back at the same point they disconnect you but no...you have to start the mission all over again. Seriously pissed and tired of being mugged off with the same dopey error messages.
