I love rpg games, but there's just one problem I find whenever I play any. It's always the same overall arc and side missions, even if you can do them differently or make different choices throughout it all. It just all ends up as the same.
To me, that detracts really from my ability to replay it really, because I just finding myself doing the same thing and I end up forcing myself to that in most cases.
Yeah I have that problem too. What I find helpful is making your own quests, getting really into rping. For instance, your character is a skooma dealer that got gipped on a deal, and you're headed to Cragslane to tie up some loose ends. (Skyrim) Or maybe you're an ex-raider that decided to become a protector of Megaton, rather than an attacker. (Fallout)
Mods also add a great deal to a game, even when used them minimally. After a certain point you're dependant on your own ability to RP.
