On another note Super Mario barely has any story. It's repetitive as well. Same as Mario Kart. All you do is race -.-
You don't know bowser's back ground or why you have to safe peach.
Then in later games they add to the story.
But did people care? Nope.
Why?
Because they had FUN

You cant really compare a 500 million dollar game with no story to a (good, classic game but) cheap game like mario anyways, but yeah there was other people who dont really care about the story, but the whole point of destiny is to get rid of the darkness and win the war, IE. Story Driven.

Really wish people would stop shoving the 500 million quote around like your -blam!-ing smart. 500 million was the cost to sponsor the game. To advertise the game. To pay the devs to make it. to ship it. etc. i don't even think 100 million was spent on the actual game itself. And before you go "well they had 10 years..." shut up. 10 years to get used to the new hard/software. 10 years to lay out the lore, game mechanics, general play etc. In short, 10 years spent starting a universe. The other destiny games will have much more content simply because the baseline is already there. They won't have to make much more lore. They won't have to make a whole bunch of new mechanics. The basics are there. This is the beginning.
