This song is just so good at telling exactly what Lord of the Rings is as a story, and doesn't Destiny seem to share a lot of the same themes from the lyrics (at least from what we know right now)? Discuss, please!

Its like how the Northern Kingdom of Men in Middle Earth fell and like the lost Dwarf halls Khazad-Dum, or even the destroyed elf city of Gondolin. All of them are waiting to be free'd and rebuilf from the shadows.

Call me crazy, but after reading the post above about the comparisons between the Hunters in Destiny and the Dunedain Rangers. I started thinking about what other characters in Destiny compared to characters in the Lord of the Rings universe. The only one i could really think of was Dwarves. (Here comes the weird part.) Dwarves are described as being strong, , hardier than any other races, unswerving, and went to war frequently. (I know that there are other details as well.) But i thought this fit the description of the Titan class or even the Exo race. What do you think?

I think that's a good observation. I can certainly see parallels between the Titans and the Dwarves.

Oh, okay. iIthought I wasn't being detailed enough in my explanation. I always liked the rogue/stealth type characters, like the Rangers. Though I'm not typically good at playing them, always end up making some silly mistake. I start off being Sam Fisher, but end up being Delta instead. I'm better off being a distraction or target dummy.

Nice to meet you, it's always nice to meet a citizen of our City to come. :) I know the feeling, but nothing about your posts have been difficult to understand! The verse "To journey on to light the day" seemed to fit Destiny quite well, in my opinion. I can't wait for Bungie to give us more story to work with here!
