I love the batman movies to death and ask this with all due respect. Why are there TVs in the Jail? It seemed to be in a different country aswell, so why would it broadcast Gotthem's news (Unless it was national news.) ? Also, when Alfred saw Bruce, it was not a fantasy. Batman lives!

It's Bane's prison, he can get what he needs for his purposes there, which in this case meant torturing Bruce with the slow death of his city. And yes, Bruce survived, but the persona of Batman died in the explosion. Alfred was correct: he's not Batman anymore, he can't afford to be.

Bane alone is also a bigger idiot than everyone in the Avengers (minus Loki, who was completely f*cking retarded). While I agree that there weren't much plot holes in DKR (or at least a lot less than what people claim) Bane was responsible for some truly stupid sh1t.

It did work, because the operatives went full retard. I'm pretty confident he could find another way without endangering his entire plan. Maybe not then, but seriously, what's the rush? He just sorta sat there for three months after beating Bats and taking control of the city.
