The only strings attached are that you don't get any information about the future and he will not transport you back if you don't like it there. If they have time travel in the future, you could use it to get back, but since time travel is impossible, we'll just say you're there for good. You have 2 days to prepare, and can take anything you want that you can reasonably carry. In addition, you will be given the equivalent of one week of average pay for that time, assuming society is still around. You can take any sort of objects you think may be valuable antiques to become rich, or you can pack light and just chance it all. In addition, you could substitute most of your packed stuff for a companion; anybody that you could convince in two days.
