DICE has confirmed that Star Wars: Battlefront is not a sequel to Battlefront 2, instead it is the developer’s own interpretation of what Battlefront should be, according to EA Games boss Patrick Söderlund.
“This is DICE’s interpretation of what Battlefront should be. That’s the best description you can have,” he told Eurogamer. “There are absolutely things in the previous Battlefront games that you’ll recognize and remember, but DICE wants to put its own flavor on it. That’s the only way we can do it.
“Hence it’s called Star Wars: Battlefront, without a 3 at the end. We want to say it’s something new. But again, it’s going to be very Star Wars and very cool.”
Star Wars: Battlefront was announced during EA’s E3 press conference. So far no platforms have been confirmed.
1 回覆I'm going to bet it will be Star Wars Battlefield. If it doesn't have third person, I'm going to be pissed.

Basically following up on their "We don't just want to cash in on the old games" stance, they want to make Battlefront but they want to make it with things we expect from a modern shooter, weapon and class balance, more modes, things like that I'd assume.

Well, it is a reboot, I suppose. I just hope DICE can keep it original and not make it too much more similar to Battlefield. It should still represent the core of the originals for gameplay. Gah, I have a feeling bots and 3rd person won't return.

This is EXACTLY why I didn't want Dice to make it...All they're going to do is make Battlefield and slap on a Star Wars skin and call it Battlefront. This makes me sad as I've yet to ever like the feel of a Battlefield game...It's just going to kill it for me.

5 回覆Jesus -blam!- if they're letting DICE make it to their interpretation it's going to rip everything off of CoD.
