The Art of Game Design by Jesse Schell is a fantastic book if you are even slightly interested in Game Design.
But most importantly, if you want to make games START MAKING GAMES. You don't need to know how program yet. You just need pen an paper. Don't wait. Get going.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll read into it! Also, that sounds like a great tip! I've been having some crazy ideas about video games lately; but who knows, they could turn into something wonderful if I start writing down the ideas and building upon them. I shan't wait. The trek has to begin somewhere.
