TWID 11-06 "We’re proud to introduce VeteransVanguard@Bungie, our newest Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Association (IDEA) dedicated to supporting those in our workforce who have a background in service." IDEA a rework of DEI....just seem odd.

由jhermannITJ編輯: 11/7/2025 10:49:05 PMTo ask people to look deeper into the context of these words rather than signposting and scapegoating. Imo, "Diversity" is one of reasons why the US military is great. "Equity"... because Veterans are underrepresented and neglected by our leadership. These words... these concepts, aren't inherently bad. "Inclusion"... because that's foundational to a republic and a Democracy... that citizens of all walks of life are included in the process. For example, the term "Woke" is a Christian term originating in Black Churches, that was co-opted by the Evangelical community... I was brought to a "wake" with a friend years ago. They did tours. Now it's used as a cudgel against progressives or anyone that doesn't bend the knee to the conservative consensus. It used to be a word that meant "uplifting" people. Now it's used a synonym and derivative for "virtue signaling". Which is a problem no matter who it comes from. And Bungie has supported Veterans causes for years... hired Veterans, included them in said initiatives. It's been a min since they've done a push like this, but supporting Vets is something Bungie has always done. And disaster relief. Mental Health. 😇👍💠

Bro, you're obviously not familiar with the US military... so you should probably refrain from trying to educate actual veterans about it. There is NO diversity. Everything is uniform, literally... wearing the same uniform, same haircut, same expectations of everyone. There is no "equity". There's no "uplifting" the less competent, less fortunate, or less qualified so that everyone is "equal"... there's accountability & merit-based advancement. There is absolutely no "inclusivity" ... at all. Less than 7% of the US population has ever served & less than 1% are currently active duty. Its an extremely EXCLUSIVE community, accepting only the best & the bravest. THATS what makes it the greatest military in the world... not diversity. The word "woke" is neither Christian, nor "black" in origin. Its the past tense of the English word "wake" & has recently gained notoriety for being used incorrectly, by progressives who manipulate language & definitions in order to support whatever their latest ideology happens to be... I avoid posting anything about politics in a video-game forum, but you're grossly misrepresenting what the US military stands for in order to defend your views on what "woke" means.
Bro, you're obviously not familiar with the US military... so you should probably refrain from trying to educate actual veterans about it. There is NO diversity. Everything is uniform, literally... wearing the same uniform, same haircut, same expectations of everyone.
What are the rank limits in other militarys? Like in North Korea... they have a class system. Only certain people can do certain things. Our military has basically 2 main paths... enlisted and officer training. And just because you enlist, doesn't mean you can't become an officer. And it's made up of people from every economic class and race. "Diversity" Even the way you try to misdirect is ridiculous. Talk to any Marine about dress protocol vs the other branches. And then how many branches do we have?
There is no "equity". There's no "uplifting" the less competent, less fortunate, or less qualified so that everyone is "equal"... there's accountability & merit-based advancement.
Equality refers to treating everyone the same, providing the same resources and opportunities regardless of individual circumstances. It emphasizes uniformity and equal treatment for all individuals. Equity, on the other hand, recognizes that individuals have different needs and circumstances. It involves providing varying levels of support and resources based on those needs to achieve fair outcomes. I said "Equity". So, you don't know why the US military is diverse and you confuse equity with equality which speaks to my preamble, "To ask people to look deeper into the context of these words rather than signposting and scapegoating". And it was about helping our Veterans... that "EQUITY", ""Equity"... because Veterans are underrepresented and neglected by our leadership".
There is absolutely no "inclusivity" ... at all. THATS what makes it the greatest military in the world... not diversity.
We even allow juvenile offenders to join to the military as a form of restitution. Every 18 yr old of sound mind and body is eligible for the draft... unless you have heel spurs. Stop cherry picking nonsense as an argument. And it meant... are you "awake" to the good word. Of Jesus. that was co-opted by the larger Evangelical community. They did stadium tours around the county. Sold merch like, "Are you Woke"? You're misdirecting I wasn't talking about the etymology of the term. Again... understanding "CONTEXT" is important. 😇👍💠

Bro said "Stop cherry-picking nonsense" then proceeded to cherry-pick the most niche nonsense: heels spurs, the Korean military & juvenile offenders ... no. So much of your arguments are factually incorrect, you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. "every 18 yr old of sound body & mind is eligible for the draft". Nah homie, WOMEN are not eligible for the draft... and I sincerely hope you're not dumb/arrogant enough to tell a "brown" woman that I'm wrong about the definition of a woman too.

Those are counter examples underwriting my point. The United States military is the strongest military in the world. It is also the most "diverse" military in the world. Not everyone agrees that Women should be excluded. I think it's long term tactical per a global conflict. You need soldiers... and wars have lasted decades throughout the course of history. And I used Marine dress, because lived with a Marine for 2 yrs... helped them test for NASA. And yes, they got in. It's a uniform... but holy **** is it a whole ordeal. Many uniforms... all with different rules and restrictions. They have a wardrobe. And every branch is different.
