Nope, it is possible to trace auth request with mitmproxy and it is bungie server that refuses to authenticate. Nothing on internet provider side is blocking anything. So it’s bungie blocking access to the game. Why is it doing it and on what basis is unknown. People handwave “sanctions” - but that’s not how sanctions work. You can stop doing business with a region by seizing sales, like blizzard did. There is no affordable way to play world of warcraft unless you create a brand new foreign account and make payments using that country bank. That is fair, because blizzard refuses to take our money and clearly states why and how will it enforce it. bungie takes money but does not deliver a service and refuses to clarify why so we dont even know who is affected and none of users who cannot access the game know if they are banned for a reason or whether it is a mistake or legit error.
