If I'm being honest, I don't know how much of it I'd actually miss. This game doesn't have a lot of content I feel nostalgic for, compelling me to go back and replay it.

Anything from the past is better than doing caldera or starcrossed 1500 times. We had a perfect game structure. Grinding wasnt THE game. It was just a part of the game you didnt even needed to do in order to fully play. Now...the gameplay is just leveling by doing the same few activities (with questionnable choices of available activities) And once you are at max lvl....well..nothing. Imagine if in a game like world of warcraft, the game stops right after reaching lvl max It would have been dead on arrival. D2 used to be about leveling , then enjoying the endgame, pvp and doing the funny and relevant activities (or the challenging ones) And most of all...no matter where you went, a loot was there waiting for you, rewarding your efforts. Now getting a loot outside of the portal is just getting glimmer at this point. Now you just grind lvls in the same activities...to get t5 builds...in order to...do leveling faster in those same activities you did 1000 times already?

由jmann43b編輯: 9/19/2025 7:04:40 AMEverything from the past was better than what we have now, EXCEPT WHEN WE HAD IT. Have you ever noticed that? No matter what it was or how terrible people said it was at the time, it was awful. Do yourself a favor, take off the glasses tinted with nostalgia and fond yet fake memories, look back on the way people responded to whatever was in the game at the time, most of which people are demanding get brought back despite the constant claims of "recycled content" and ask yourself honestly, "Was it REALLY that great or do I just conveniently remember the good and not the bad?"

how can you possibly think its better this way? at least before we had a much wider range of options in how we progressed power. There is also no new content in ash and iron just the reclaim mission which is the old plaguelands map.
Everything from the past was better than what we have now, EXCEPT WHEN WE HAD IT. Have you ever noticed that? No matter what it was or how terrible people said it was at the time, it was awful.
That is exactly what streamers were saying . They played old content over and over and over and then started complaining that it was boring and now they all say what you just said . That everything from the past was better . Casual players on the other hand were not so braindead to play the same stuff over and over 24/7 for years . They had a life and when they were home they played for couple hours and had the time of their life . That is not possible anymore because streamers wanted new content . They could have simply played other games but no ... like i said , braindead . No-one asked for changes except streamers and their fanboys . Are you a fanboy ??

Stop using "casual player" as some sort of lame excuse. Look up what the REAL definition of the term means, not what people on here pretend it does. One last thing, you've been on here as long as I can remember making you a "fanboy" too, so don't pull that childish bullshit with me.

It has nothing to do with nostalgia. If you find it funnier to run caldera 1200 times sure my friend go ahead. But i dont take in consideration complaints on the forum. I take in consideration how many players were doing the old activities back then. And it was A LOT. The obly reason people stopped playing those at some point is because they played it a lot and got all the loots. Update the loot pools, modify some details here and there...and voilaaaa Rather than updating k1 lost sector it would be way more entertaining to update...idk...menagerie...sundial...etc... Portal could have been a time machine activity wise. And also when people talk about old activity, they also talk about the ones that are still in the game but irrelevant...because they decided to put some...original choices of activities in the portal only. You DONT change a formula that works, you UPDATE it, you dont just destroy years of work.

Nah I get it. And the Leviathan got a ton of hate for “not enough true boss fights”, but it was honestly a fun raid, and the encounters were pretty original. Still the “Baths” encounter was lazy, shooting bells instead of some actual enemy.
