I have played since EoF a total of ~43 hrs from what the Destiny 2 Heatmap tells me. I have already hit 300 light and 100 on the season pass. I quite literally only started focusing on power farming 2 days ago so that means I have spent maybe 4-5 hrs doing it for nearly 100 power levels. If you just play the game, you would be getting power bumps, it may take another couple of days if your not focusing on it but your still more then easily going to go up in power.
Respectfully it will not take hundreds of hours to hit the cap, you are being hyperbolic

I'm sure you paid money and did a Legendary campaign for most of "your grind"... I didn't... and I'm saying you are full of sht if you say you can go from 10-300 in 40 hours. Of course if you paid for expansion and did campaign on legendary you'd be 200+ very easily.

I did legendary and have farmed my fair share and am only 355 but I have a few friends who did legendary campaign and have lived in caldera and salt mines for God knows how long and the highest of them is 415 atm. So I have to agree there's no way 40 hours is netting you 300.

I'm not complaining about anything, either. Brother is on verge of promoting pay 2 win and then bragging how easy it is. Other than that, I agree with the overall sentiment. People get "creative" with their descriptions. Like my pops fishing stories... " it was thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis big" ... give or take a few i's.. lol..

It can be done. If you want to spend 90hrs running the same lost sector over and over again. Who the -blam!- wants to do that though? A few no-lifers and the BDF on here. I'm at 321 after a few weeks into the expansion and I'm bored out of my mind.

I’m currently 405 and it took me less than 40 hours to get from 300 to 400. I have come to a conclusion that this system is WAY too complex for average people to understand. Even though it is stated in the game texts, people don’t seem to understand new multipliers and score system at all. And farming Caldera IS NOT best way to PL. People should really stop watching videos and start using their own brains again.

Yeah there is those runs, but not just that. You will get faster progression doing fearured stuff to infuse several gear pieces at once, and when you are even then run whatever and rince and repeat to keep your multiplier getting up faster. If you ONLY run Caldera and get stuck up in situation where few pieces are not dropping, it will slow you down drastically. The game literally shows you your reward multiplier when you inspect reward package details, and shows you how it changes based on what you have equiped. You have to use highest gear you have to get better multiplier, it will be tens of thousands of score points difference and makes grind so much easier and faster. When your gear is about even you can just run Caledra or whatever, the difference in time is not huge. And when some piece starts to lack behind, run featured stuff.

It has nothing to do about being ”majesty” or ”intellect”. You can see from my history that I did not even run Encore a single time, while it was up and busted. Yet I am reaching soonish 410. Maybe I’m doing something right instead of complaining and saying it isn’t possible to do X or Y here.

This logic goes right over most of these kids heads. Incessant whining is the meta. If Bungie had a position that weights drops for players that constantly cry I'd probably do it. I would gladly spend time putting people in their place.
