Example: this forum is full of topics about players wanting to have things............like Catalysts for weapons they will never play with.
Destiny needs to become fun to play, just because it's fun.

It's not built for fun, never has been. Watch that GDC speech by Justin Truman, he openly said the plan was to build the game & get people hooked, then up monetisation slowly over years like slowly boiling a crab. It's built on loot & chasing a carrot, giving dopamine hits & keeping you craving content. It's worked for the 1/6th of the population with addictive personalities, as even after everything bad we still have a very very strong 500k daily logins, if which I'm one. It does a lot very very wrong but it does a few things very very right.

Destiny being fun or not is each individuals opinion.

My last post was about the dreadnought and keeping it as a explorable patrol zone but keeping the nether experience for players, how it would allow the Barrow catalyst to work after this echo finishes and how it would help guide new players in the world of destiny through its characters like Xivu, Orxy and the hive pantheon. A odd take if I do say so but I understand what your inferring with your post.
