In lore The Traveler is sometimes referred to as Alpha Lupi which means Prime Wolf. In our own human history this symbol stands for Protection. Also in the real world Alpha Lupi is a massive Star about 460 light years away. With a mass of 10 times our Sun and a luminosity that of 25,000 times brighter than our Sun. The Star Alpha Lupi emits a variable wavelength pattern of light that is 7 hours long. (Nice one Bungie 😎) These frequencies are visible to our naked eye. And if you have been following Destiny lore you know all the races in Destiny have a thing for frequencies. In lore each race are in tune to this wavelength. This frequency of song and Light. In Chinese history this Star is referred as The South Gate....(someone wake up The Vex their simulation is ready!) The Final Shape has been in front of us the whole time since ODST.
