It's hard for something to improve without criticism. Complacency achieves nothing.

But you know as well as anyone here that the Hate Boner Squad needs to chill. You need to understand that when you're that cynical about the game, nothing they do will be to your liking.

D2 suffers from a [b]lot[/b] of problems. If one wants to fix the community, one must [i]fix the game.[/i] Sure, you can't please everyone, but hating on haters is even less constructive than complaining about Destiny's issues.

Did you mean hypocritical? I try not to be hypercritical or hypocritical and I absolutely think people should come voice their opinions. My opinion is that a lot of times they do it in a very non-constructive way. Case in point... calling someone a Bungie employee if they praise a story beat or activity. I said in another thread recently that I think trashing Bungie is the ‘cool’ thing to do in the forum right now... instead of reporting bugs or offering suggestions to improve the gameplay experience. And there’s some people that show up to complain about a game they haven’t played since before shadowkeep dropped... which boggles my mind. Bungie to their part doesn’t do themselves any favors on their way too specific content calendar which leaves no mystery or sense of discovery and slow bug fixes. Theres a lot more I could say about my opinion on unrealistic content schedules some players call for but I’ll just say I’ve enjoyed season of Dawn a lot and look forward to what’s next.

You’re saying people can’t voice their opinions?

If fans didn’t speak up and share there thoughts may they be bad or good, destiny 2 would still be the same as it was at launch. A complete failure. That’s what forums are for, sharing opinions etc. You can enjoy and like a game without bowing down to and defending everything bungie does. Destiny 2 is a good game, a fun and addictive game. Buts not a perfect and flawless game either, it’s clearly got its flaws and this season has shows that more than ever before. Players as you say “lurk around the forums” because the game that gave them so much joy and hours of fun suddenly isn’t anymore and some want to know why. It’s great to give praise where praise is deserved. When bungie do something great then he’ll yea I’m behind hyping them up much as possible. But I feel like the content has been disappointed after disappointment lately that even the mediocre content will make fans happy, and that’s what I feel is happening here. It’s a reskin of “Kargen” the psion boss from “The insight terminus strike with the same mechanics of standing on plates. This can be explained in one quote. “If you let down a player base long enough until all they expect is disappointment, even mediocre content will be hailed as an achievement”

The best analogy I can think of is that after 5 years of basically the same gameplay cycle players are complaining they are bored... which is like a person eating the same good meal everyday for five years and saying it doesn’t taste as good as they remember.
