As Ghost transmats us just outside the Valus’s stronghold, Calus’s voice can be heard on our comms. “This Valus seeks to earn my favor...test his strength, my Shadow” [spoiler]Tag, you’re it[/spoiler]

We make our way within the stronghold. Somethings... off. You notice things moving in the corner of your eye, but when you direct your attention to them they vanish. You feel eyes on you the whole time. Your foot hits something. Sends it skittering across the floor. You pick it up and examine it. Hive crystal. What is the Hive doing in Ta’aurc’s hideout? You press on. You enter a room and you see him. But you know immediately something is wrong. A legion of Hive Acolytes, Thrall, and Knights are bowing down to... Ta’aurc. And he’s not the Ta’aurc you know. As he rises from his seat, you see him swirling with some kind of dark energy.
