Why do you want a girlfriend? What, in your opinion, would improve in your life?

Well, I would recommend practicing finding companionship in every aspect of your life that you can. I know that may sound cheesy and generic, but hear me out. As you practice making friend and being social, you will gain companionship. Maybe on a different way than you want right now, but you will be better equipped to learn what kind of companion you want. When it’s easier to find companionship because you have become better at it, then when you meet the right girl, it will be easier to develop the mind of companionship you want with her because it is more natural to you. If right now, you feel that companionship is lacking, seeking a girlfriend to fix that will give her the impression that you have a problem with companionship and she is only really there to fix that. If she gets that impression, it will put a lot of pressure on her, as she may feel like she is the only source of companionship in your life and this will be a major turn off. Women generally appreciate getting to know a guy in the context of being welcomed into his life, with his life already being interesting. As in she wants to feel a part of something instead of feeling like the only source of it for you. I’m not saying you don’t have any friends, I don’t really know. But if you examine why you feel a desire for companionship because the current relationships you have aren’t providing it, you can work on fulfilling that need and getting a girlfriend will come much more naturally.
