The Vex are only the greater threat when they have access to paracausal abilities, considering that we're... uh... um... "unsimulatable"? That's not a word but you get it.
Begs the question, what the -blam!- is up with the future? Black suns? Destroyed Vex architecture?
That last bit and the remaining appearance of the Descendant Vex make me believe that they aren't trying to create the future we see, but trying to stop it. But...

So you’re saying that the things that are conquering and integrating themselves with worlds all across the universe with barely any opposition aren’t a threat without any of their paracausal power? The Hive and Guardians are really the only things putting a damper on their plans, but even they get their butts handed to them by the Vex most of the time Is this future stuff you’re talking about something revealed from the Curse of Osiris DLC?

Alright saw the Lighthouse, and it was cool how hey did the before and after shots. I really don’t know what’s up with that; the Vex have already distorted Mercury’s so maybe that showed a timeline where they had messed with it even more? Or maybe a timeline where they had reshaped even our sun? Or it could be a future they are trying to stop like you said. The problem is we don’t know if we’ll be doing any “look into different futures” stuff in D2, so we just have to assume Bungie will be keeping us in the present as always
