I tried playing it on death march for the platinum trophy. It was all fun and games until I had to fight a wild hunt warrior and it took almost an hour to whittle his health down. Not worth it for me.

[spoiler]if Kiera Metz doesn't come to Kair Morhen and Geralt fails to save him from the Hunt troops that breach the gate. He gets burnt with Vesemir and everything. Makes the whole thing a lot more sad, but you'd have to be intentionally not helping the guy to have him die, since it's only a few enemies for a short sequence.[/spoiler]
