Nintendo Switch Partners and Potential Game Line-up
Some of the biggest names included there are Activision, Bethesda, Capcom, From Software, Telltale Games, Ubisoft and EA.
Very impressive line-up so far.

This trick is used with every hardware announcement to try and convince you that there will be a steady stream of content on the platform. That Nintendo showed off Skyrim on the Switch is proof to me that third party support on the platform will be once again non-existent.

I have no problem with it being wholesome but I couldn't justify spending $300 on a wii u due to lack of games I'd want to play, and unless proven otherwise I can't justify spending, I assume $400, on the switch. Cool premise but not much to offer currently over the niche it's created.

1 回覆I'm glad they've got a console that third party devs actually want to develop for this time. Switch looks like a nice step in a good direction compared to the Wii U blunder. Although the default controller looks like utter trash.

Seems like an impressive console so far. I'd get it, considering Nintendo is the only company in the gaming industry that still does local party games. This opens up the option to play the other AAA titles they couldn't before.

Cool list, but I usually buy a console for their exclusives. Third-party games are nice and all, but I buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games, PS4 for PS4 games. They better have a great 1st-party launch lineup and 3rd-party games will be a bonus for me.

2 回覆Less than half will make launch titles and if the console isn't selling insanely fast there won't be any more after that. The xbox one and playstation 4 are significantly better options because so many people already own them.

Some of these seem kind of odd for the list. Autodesk? On a game console? Unity? The free to use game engine? I don't even know what "web technology" is. A good list, and great to see so many high profile partners. But some seem kind of odd. Makes me curious.

They did that with the Wii U too. Over half of them never worked out because Nintendo treats 3rd party devs like shit. Maybe they are changing and realizing that 3rd party is where the money is. Either way, the NX looks gimmicky. It will have to be a pretty beefy tablet to run Skyrim. Anything's better than the Wii U though.

It's still a gimmick, but it's a gimmick that might actually work this time if Nintendo can swing it. At this point I'm just relieved that they named it something a little more sensible and not something unbelievably stupid again. I'm not entirely convinced of all the strong third party support claims. The Wii U had a number of big AAA games on it at first as well, then it all dried up when the console failed to sell. It won't be able to handle current and upcoming AAA titles in all likelihood. The exclusives will be its main draw for me and probably many others, same as always. Still a lot of big unknowns as far as price, storage and Internet connectivity are concerned. Want to hear more on those.
