Psalm 137
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea we wept when we remembered Zion.
Remember, O lord, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem who said, "Raze it, raze it, even to the foundation."
O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed. Happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.
Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.
Old Testament, the Old Testament is human history and Jewish history. Jews follow the Torah which surprise surprise is the Old Testament, Jews don't accept the teachings of Jesus. And do no have the New Testament like Christians.
I don't know if you're being serious or ignorant. Or if you have never read a bible in your life. Jesus never stoned anyone and the Jewish teachers tested him on this and even brought him a woman who was accused of cheating on her husband and told Jesus it was the law to stone her. Jesus refused and set the woman free.
Jesus never stoned anyone. He never persecuted anyone. He taught to forgive your enemies and love them no matter what. He expect his followers whoever bared his name to follow his example of peace.
I was being a smart ass, I know he never did.
However, the point I was trying to make is this passage is outdated much like the passage op presented for why Islam wasn't a religion of peace.
