My other daughter and I have been doing the 52 Hike Challenge. My younger daughter, the one kicking cancer's butt, walked almost a mile with us on Sunday. This is the first time since starting chemo that she has felt good enough. The first round of chemo made her very nauseous and the second made her bones hurt. She wants to build her strength up before surgery next month. We are going to Austin, Texas next weekend. She wants to hike to Hamilton Pool. It is a really interesting geological formation with a waterfall and grotto.
She has breast cancer. She has surgery in March, followed by radiation treatments, followed by reconstructive surgery about six months later. She still has a ways to go.
