I have been one shot sniped when in sunbreaker mode and have been one shot golden gunned too. You are only immune if you set up maximum armour. I think it was planet destiny that verified this.

I max recovery. I watched a datto vid and he'd worked out the exact differences between min and max and although all the differences are small the only one you really notice is recovery. This was before taken king though so things could have changed

The only sniper than can one shot is the highest impact snipers, e.g. Black Spindler, Efrideets, etc. And you sure they were at max health or the shooter didn't have a damage buff?
