Save up. If you managed to buy last gen, then you can manage to spend enough to upgrade. I sold my 360 with the games and I got enough money to pool together with other cash I'd saved up and bought Destiny, the ps4 and a headset. It ain't that difficult. Stop saying "can't" and start asking "how". Then you'll get shit done.
