Never been a shotgun fan. Been trying it recently but I've never had a real problem with how they are now. Just keep distance if possible. There's always a few wtf moments but you just adapt to the current fad. People are always gonna cry nerf if everything was the same it would be boring

nobody's complaining about all shotguns, just the current state of shotguns only allow for one variation. No variety. Just the same exact shotgun every time. Pre-House of Wolves, there was a variety of shotguns, but now you only see one.

yeah, but there's only one shotgun nowdays. there used to be variation, and hundreds of different versions you could get. But now with re-rolling, the loot system is completely -blam!-ed. You get one of that arch-type, and you immediately have the best version.

I agree with the idea of simply adapting, but the problem is that the way things are now everyone who uses a shotgun is using one type of setup, and that setup is so effective and easy to access that most people in the crucible are using it. I personally hate shotguns and never use them, so fighting them is something I'm used to at this point. The problem is that it's not fun when I am being killed almost exclusively by shotguns and exotic hand cannons. It's not about them being tough to counter, it's about them not being fun to counter. People shouldn't all use the same guns, but they are, and that makes the experience less enjoyable for those of us who like to experiment and use other weapon types
