In preparation (for E3 2013) Bungie was developing a game trailer, but shortly before E3, Activision took over the trailer work and supplied its own music rather than (Bungie's) "(Music) of the (Spheres)" segments.."

(here) you go, plain (and) simple evidence that (Activision) took massive control of the whole title..
What? They took control of the music in a trailer, and that means they took control of the whole game? Seriously? You guys are leaping wildly for the conspiracy you know exists behind Destiny's release. There is no conspiracy. I fully believe there was a conflict centered around the creative direction of Destiny... Within Bungie itself. Activision put the screws to them when they missed the 2013 release date, and they realized they weren't going to be done in time so they hacked it apart and did the best they could. Some of them felt they should take as much time as they needed but that would put them in breach of contract with Activision. Those people left Bungie when Harold Ryan sided with Activision's timetable. Since Activision was basically paying Bungie's bills, he had no choice but to do that. Read the whole document with an open mind and an eye towards the real truth, not simply to find facts that support your preconception of it. The court document outright says that most of Bungie's profit during that period was from advance payments by publisher Activision. The whole thing is extremely unfortunate, and I wish they had been able to make the game they clearly wanted to make. But that's what happens when you get in bed with a big publisher and can't deliver on time.

Tell me that it didn't make a lot of sense when you put this interview and the final product together.

Edit2: looks like we got some answers, but they've been deleted by the mods. Maybe the guy was lying, and never worked for Bungie. i don't know, I trust these mods, they seem nice. Edit3: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/70908920/0/0/1 here are the deleted answers given by someone CLAIMING to work for bungie, Deej claims they're a troll. Believe what you want. Mods, if you want me to delete this link, let me know. Edit4: this comment from a mod explains why the comments were deleted. Hey everyone, I just want to let you know that the user who claims they have inside information about Destiny is a throwaway account that has not been verified by our team. We have sent them a message asking for proof of their relationship to the development of Destiny, and until then I highly suggest you take what they have to say with a grain of salt. The above info has been confirmed false by Bungie, but we will let you know if the user ever replied to us with their evidence.

Edited by Ghost J34: 9/7/2015 4:29:38 AMLol@"the above has been confirmed false by Bungie" Yeah, as if Bungie is ever going to confirm any of it as true? You cannot possibly be this retarded. Excerpts from facts surrounding Marty's trial prove that the story was significantly revised a year before release. Bungie didn't prove crap, stop hugging their nuts.
-
So an unconfirmed unofficial source is true. The person who posted that article stated it was not true, yet you still want to believe it. The Marty trial was over the music and nothing else, it had absolutely 0 effect on the actual story of the game. Bungie doesn't have to prove shit, stop being a dipshit asshole.
The Marty trial was over the music and nothing else, it had absolutely 0 effect on the actual story of the game.
You're either legitimately retarded or a completely ignorant Desticle. Try reading the article about Marty's trial, because you obviously haven't. If you have, you're hopeless.

I read the entire article, and the entire thing was over activision using their on misic for a trailer instead of his. He started a bunch of shit because he got butthurt over it and that got him fired because it threatened the contract between bungie and activision. Bungie fired him but stripped him of his founders stock shares as well as vacation pay. Which was what the entire court battle was over, his rights as a founder of Bungie to get his proper stock holder shares, because he was fired from bungie and didn't quit as was the terms of his contract with Bungie. At no time did that article ever state anything about the story itself, it was all about Marty's court battle over what was justly owed to him.
-
Why would they reapond? Obviously even if they were no longer an employee of bungie they have contracts and can not release inside information without being punished by the law and fined...I wouldn't respond either
-
same reasons why they wouldn't do it in the first place lol.
