Unmaxed Icebreaker = BOOT
Join my Crota's End lobby using an unmaxed icebreaker and you switch it or you get booted. Its fine and dandy that you bought it or earned it whatever...but if its unmaxed you are a detriment to the team, especially if you are using it over a G-horn, or if you already have a black hammer.
Edit: It seems people have the wrong idea about this post. It wasn't a post against people who bought the gun, more power to you. I would have bought it if I didn't already have it too. The point was that people that join lobbies and act like they can do boomer duty or DPS enough with an unmaxed icebreaker is pathetic. Take the time to upgrade your weapons. Its the same issue of people running 248 VoG weapons back in the day or an unmaxed G-horn that doesn't even have wolfpack rounds yet.

Edit 3: Ha, all you noobs with halfway lvl'd weapons are struggling in the hard raid. How ironic.

I get where you are coming from. The fact that no xp gains come from the raid means that leveling the gun isn't possible in raid and it isn't a viable option unless it is fully upgraded or at least somewhere near

What about my maxed 300 Icebreaker. I don't like black hammer and don't have gjallarhorn. Soooo I either use my 300 icebreaker or use my 302 icebreaker

Изменено (Big_Zimm): 1/17/2015 10:55:28 PMIf you can't handle boomers with an unmaxed Icebreaker you're booted from my fire team. A 31 can kill boomers with 2 critical hits, if that's not good enough than you've got bigger issues than people with new icebreakers.

Sometimes I like to use my half upgraded Patience and Time to deal with Boomers! And nobody on my team ends up dying. Strange how someone not using the most basic setup can still perform splendidly in the raid lol

I was two-shotting the boomers at level 31 with an unmaxed Icebreaker. Its plenty good enough for the job. Level 30 is slightly different...but regardless, its more about user skill than weapon damage in most cases. Since the knights are knocked back by IB shots, a two shot shouldn't be a problem for a skilled sniper.

I beg to differ on that because I bought my IB like a happy little newbie yet I'm a day 1er who hasn't had it drop yet and I did boomer duty today in crota because we had a level 32 join so I didn't have to run the sword like I did my first time. (yes only have run crota twice) So all of this is irrelevant now. Just my 2 cents.

I'm a little confused here... Shooting the boomers up top at Crota? Yeah, mines not maxed yet and I manage to one hit them with a head shot... So what is your argument? If it works... It works.

It takes 2 head shots with an new IB to kill a boomer or bridge knight. Ok that's one more than with a maxed IB but still -blaming!- good.

I was doing boomer duty with a 300 max ice breaker no problem so whats the difference if you have 2.0 it starts off stronger
