Pathetic, none of you are legit raiders
At least many of you. How do I know? I posted for a crota fresh run for anyone not wearing vanguard or faction gear aka gear given to you by bungie allowing you to skip the atheon raid. It's been 30 minutes and only person who joined is wearing full faction gear lmao my posts have slowly gotten more douche baggy over the weeks. Adding more restrictions each week and this restriction was the first that couldn't be even close to being met.
If you have 3 different classes and have a piece of vangaurd or faction gear ok w/e but if you have 2 of the same class you should have full raid gear for atheon or iron banner lvl 30 gear if you have been playing remotely consistently (say 1 raid every 2 weeks from launch) and if you bought vangaurd/faction gear as a level 30 (annd weren't the sword bearer) you wasted your time.

The question
If you were lvl 30, pre crota, and you weren't a sword guy, why take 4 steps backwards (4 pieces of vangaurd or faction gear) when you can simply do ce at your current lvl 30 and achieve lvl 31 via 1 single piece of raid armor from the new raid ?

At no point did I say to put your vog gear back on geniuses. I'm showing how vangaurd and faction gear is utterly pointless.
1 piece of raid gear gets you from 30 to 31 and maxes at 32
3 pieces of vangaurd gear gets you to lvl 31 and maxes at 31
So if you were your average 30, getting lvl 31 through vangaurd or faction was pointless.

Mostly done responding to this post. I'm an ass yea but half a dozen people below all dropped their tag for me or asked for mine because they know I won't waste their time and wipe several dozen times per checkpoint.
Are you bad for wearing vangaurd gear? No, but it says a lot about you depending on your playtime. Good luck scrub raiders who can't hang !

Why would anyone who got the game post dlc wast their time with VoG raid gear? The raids a blast and still my fav but if the stats are better in vanguard gear, why would you choose to be 30 over 31? I dismantle ALL VoG gear, and sported all vanguard gear immediately after DLC. Wouldn't it make more sense to exclude prideful people who want to stick at lvl 30 than people who strive to have the best?

I had 3 30s when crotas end started. 2 hunters & a warlock Then I had 3 31s. I now have 1 32, another only missing a chest piece to 32, deleted my extra hunter and made a Titan. I'll be buying vanguard gear to 31 and raid till HoW comes out. No rush to hit 32 on all 3 but I've enjoyed the game the entire time. I've got good friends and a good viewpoint I. The loot system. So many get upset over pointless things.

I have full CE raid gear for my Hunter and all but the helmet for my Warlock. My Titan doesn't have any yet as, until last week, it was too low level to raid. Might do it later and keep my fingers crossed for some armour. CE raid gear doesn't mean a thing as it was all obtainable through cheese. All that being said I would tend not to join someone if their post was "douche baggy" as there is a reasonable chance they would be a douche bag.

I used vanguard gear for the first couple weeks of the DLC just so I could be level 31 (I was first week) and to get radiant shards to level up my new gear. My titan is missing some pieces, I made him after CE released and he doesn't have a single raid chest or helmet.

I won't even let a lvl 30 into crota. Also new raid gear at one time didn't start at light 30 so you needed the shards just to get that new gear to 30. So every one had to buy faction gear so we could hit 31 and use up some of those useless shards any how.

3 отв.I ran my Titan with full Vanguard gear. Why? It looks good. Do I have VoG gear? All but the boots. Do I have Crota gear? All but the helmet and I have glass house for that. Doesn't change the fact I run my Titan with Vanguard gear, due to appearance reasons.

As a working/family man how am I supposed to take part in the game that I bought if I'm doing it wrong? I dont have the luxury of sitting in front of a tv all day. I'd like to take part in the raids more etc but I'm just confused as to how buying vanguard gear is pointless? I have had next to no luck with RNG. So am I supposed to sit there like a spoon head and not enjoy my game? The only thing I can seem to do consistently and well is the strikes, but you guys come on and sprint through the thing. Limiting my chance at kills, weapon experience and engram drops and THEN tell me I'm not good enough to do a raid? What the hell man. Maybe I'm ranting, I really really enjoy this game but self righteous ar sewipes are doing my nut in.

Maybe if bungie had put raid matchmaking in then more people would have raid gear but what do I know? I've been playing since day one and just started raiding last week, and that was because of a nice gentleman on twitch! Destinylfg is a joke! People always want experienced raiders but how the hell do you get experience without being able to raid?

So you had to buy at least 2 new pieces of armor vender gear. That is if you did have a exotic 2.0 piece otherwise you had to replace all but your exotic. It wasn't until patch that you could run in with all your VoG and put on a new piece of armor and be the exact same lvl I say you are not a real raider for not knowing this and not jumping in week one of the raid

5 отв.Изменено (Starscream): 1/17/2015 6:08:08 PMNumber one when Crota first came out the raid gear didn't start at 31 or 30 so obviously you must either be trolling or you started playing Crota's end after they patched the armor to make it auto light 30 I was a 30 pre DLC and I bought the vanguard/faction armor because I wanted to be 31 plain and simple,my initial raid drops were all light 24 at the start so i got screwed out of 14 radiant shards with the armor patch.

1 ответI got rid of my VoG raid gear the DLC made it worthless. Just as the next DLC will do the same for the Crota gear.

1 ответBuddy! You are wrong, I have conquered vog, so many times I use to had full gear.. Crota came, I saw that my gear is useless, I dismantled it knowing I won't regret... And now you as for guardian with vog gear? Sorry my vault got priorities
