Three different classes is cheating
People with three different classes need to stop cheating. They decided to circumvent the reward system by making sure they always get a piece of armor they can use from an engram.
For example, say someone with three different classes goes to Xûr and buys an Exotic helmet engram on their Warlock, hoping for Obsidian Mind. Instead, they get the Helm of Saint-14. No problem! They can store it in their vault and pick it up on their Titan. It totally ruins the RNG system Bungie worked so hard on putting in the game.
Need another example? Alright, fine. Say they do the Nightfall on their Hunter and get the Heart of Praxic Fire. Never fear! They can store it in their vault so that their Warlock can pick it up. Instead of having a poor week at the Nightfall and sharding their piece they cheat and use the system so that they will always get a viable reward with armor.
Another example is needed to convince the people. Fear not, I am back with another. Say you're on a Titan and you get an upgrade package from the Vanguard. Inside, you see a Legendary! However, it is for a Warlock. Now, an honest person shards it and realizes their misfortune. But these people? They put it in their vault so that their Warlocks who might not have the Commendations/Rank/Marks can use it! This is an outrage.
How long will Bungie let this atrocity continue before they patch it?

[b]Edit 2[/b]: The "There's three character slots for a reason!" Argument comes up pretty often. I'm not sure if you're aware, but its clearly for each of the three races.

1 ответI think having 3 of the same character is cheating because all you have to do is get one set of armor and just keep switching it. These people do the raid multiple times to get the raid weapons and gear set to switch in between their same character. I think it's smart and better to have all 3 character, instead of just being limited to one. But hey, you have your opinion and I have mine.

Actually having the same character is not the purpose of the 3 slots. It's so when you are maxed and done with one character you can start a new one and experience new parts of the game. It just makes the game last longer, but if you have 3 of the same character, as soon as you're done with one you're done with them all.

Good satire, but I agree with those you are poking fun at. I just get way to in to the rp part of character creation to make 3 of the same toon. Limits your game experience imo.

About an hour later found a purple helmet engram thought wow this is just my bad luck went to the cryptark and he dycrypted it into a titan helmet, this would have seriously ruined my day if I wasn't cheesing the multiple characters and had 1 of each.

You're examples are not convincing anybody that creating a Titan, Hunter, and Warlock is cheating. It would actually make sense to create one of each based off your examples. You'd actually be smart to make one of each race.

Pretty nice arguement to make against those who don't favor having the same class. Granted the only reason I have other classes was to make use of equipment I got for said classes only.

So what's the point in being able to make 3 characters? So I can load up 3 hunters. -blam!- that. If u wanna grind out your other characters fine. But this game is becoming to much like work for me too just scrap and say oh my warlock will get this piece later. Hopefully.
