Those of us who did it legit spent 7-10 hours on the raid the first time. We learned to communicate, practiced our timing and finally after hours of frustration took down Crota.
The reason people are frustrated against those that CHEAT not cheese is because they didn't have to put in the work in order to get the gear. They just cheat the game and get the same loot as those that put in the time. To top it off we then have to hear people come up with lame excuses on why cheating is OK.
That is why I care what other people do, because the time I put in should be worth something otherwise it cheapens the entire experience. I partially blame Bungie for letting it happen but mostly I am disappointed in the players.
Edit - I wish there was meta data attached to posts like age, income, gender, etc. It would be interesting to see how responses correlate.
Edit 2 - For those saying get a life, why do you care, why so serious. I say it is possible to care about something and not spend every waking moment thinking about it. It's not like I go to bed worrying about what other people do. It's just an interesting discussion topic with a wide variety of opinions. Using critical thinking and having a discussion on a topic that at the end of day doesn't really matter is about the same as watching videos of cats on reddit..... lol. Lots of way to waste time at work....
Edit 3 - Obviously this just a video game so exploiting isn't lawfully wrong. Morality is another issue. Of course it is also a matter of severity and damage caused. Again this is a video game so in many eyes there is a who cares attitude. I just choose to draw my line differently than other people. That wasn't my original argument but I feel like the journey should be worth something and want other people to have my same view. That is wrong and I shouldn't force my views on other people and really how can you do that on a forum but I would be willing to bet that most people are on forums to feel validated and have our beliefs confirmed. Obviously that blew up in my face. haha.
Thanks everyone for your inputs.

Dude if they should find a way of patching all the cheesing, I promise you all these cheesers will look to experienced raiders to carry them though.

5 отв.Your opinion is invalid. Nothing you do in game does anything to take away from my experience. You cheesing doesn't bother me, leaving halfway through a raid doesn't bother me, killing me 50 times on a control match bothers me not. If you want to spend 10 hours on one boss, more power to you. I draw the line at around 3 hours. You shouldn't let someone cheesing a boss in a video game bother you. Your time is only worth so,ething to you. Your time means nothing to me just as my time doesn't mean anything to you.
-
You chose not to cheese it
-
The cheese will be evident when hard comes out and the new raid patched. If anyone on my fire team is clueless in the hard raid and have Crota weapons/emblems/shader...they will be booted
-
I love cheating .... A wise man once said "if you ain't cheating you ain't trying"
-
With the right team, u can beat crota faster than you can cheat it. Which is what i do
-
Does cheesing suck donkey balls yes. Does it affect you at all in any way. No it doesn't see please stop bitching and just play video games.
-
I am against cheating as well. What frustrates me the most is how players can achieve level 32 in normal mode. Now players who cheat and never played legitimately will not know how to play hard mode when it is released and this issue has been fixed.
-
3 отв.What I enjoy is the fact that some guys can solo crota then you have a group of 6 dumb -blam!-s that can't finish him so they resort to using an exploit to finish it. These guys have to feel totally -blam!-tarded when they see dudes soloing the boss.
-
Dooood, why do you care if those players are cheesing. They'll regret it later when it gets fixed and regret it more when they try beating it on hard mode :)

1 ответWhat I found funny is that during the first weekend of Crotas Raid, people were asking for "Experienced" players. The raid was only out for 4 days
-
1 ответStill find it hilarious that people allow how much they enjoy the game to be impacted by how other's play. There's literally zero impact on you if someone cheesed the raid. None. Zilch. Zip. Zero.
-
First time beating Crota took my team no longer than an hour. We killed Crota first try, this raid was way to easy.
-
14 отв.if it's possible to do, it isn't cheating. it's up to bungie to prevent the easier methods of winning from happening. hacking and exploits are cheating. pushing bosses off edges and going invisible to skip entire sections of mobs and whatever is bad game design.
-
Dude, that's life. Get over it. People will cheat, cheese, and kill just to get ahead.
-
The problem is that most of us don't care about why you care about something. It will get patched and then you can find something else to complain about. I'm the meantime just worry about how you play and enjoy the game
That is why I care what other people do, because the time I put in should be worth something otherwise it cheapens the entire experience.
The value of your time is not measured against others - it's measured against what else YOU could be doing. My time value is not the same as yours, and yours is not the same as the next guy. Time spent in-game is for your own enjoyment. What you have and others do not - or what they have and you do not - should have no bearing on how much (or little) you enjoyed YOUR TIME. I hope in your regular life you do not assign personal happiness to what you have vs others or how hard you had to work to get whatever. Happiness and your own time value is set by you, and you alone. I hope that you look back at the 7 hours you spent and think about how fun it was to accomplish a goal with your friends - and not whatever the meaningless drop was from the boss. Friends and good times man, simple stuff. Be happy, it's your choice to make!
-
It's normal mode, as long as you don't have a full retard sword bearer, someone with IB for boomers and at least one Ghorn or any tracking rocket launcher with 2-3 shots per reload (truth), and a titan with WoL you should be able to go start-finish legit (even the bridge) in 30 minutes. People take up to 45 minutes just trying to cheese crota.... I fail to see the purpose.
-
7-10 hours?!
-
And when you get older you'll look back on this post and laugh. All that "gear" you "worked" "hard" for is just a bunch of 1s and 0s. It's a video game.
-
Posting about it on the forums will really help with closure
+20 Tears
-
These will be the same ones that will not be able to complete the raid after they patch it and defiantly not on hard unless someone gives them a checkpoint just to cheese him.

Изменено (andylugs4744): 12/22/2014 8:36:12 PMWhile I have some sympathy with what you are saying I think you have gone about it completely the wrong way. It was your choice to spend/waster 7-10 hours playing 1 raid in a computer game, no one else's, did you think that everyone who ever completed it after you would take the same time? What about the people who watched you tube vids do it " legit" and still only take 30 mins to do the whole raid from start to finish are they also detracting from your achievements? Second, why are you letting the people who cheese/cheat the raid detract from what you did? The only person who can let your legitimate success be lessened is yourself, no one else thinks what you did has lost any significance by all the cheesers, it's you that are lessening your own success. I have been playing mmo's now for longer than I care to admit, I have been a hard core raider but I don't have the desire or time in me now to bother with it , but what I have learned ( especially with the current generation of gamers) is that most people will always revert to the " greatest reward for least effort" mode, if someone can find a way to glitch/cheese/ cheat/ sidestep a way around an event that leads to a reward be it a raid, a daily or a grind of any kind they will do, and if you let yourself get annoyed or upset by this, then quite simply this type of game is not for you, it is the norm. Don't get me wrong I have been in your position I have spent weeks with kins figuring out how to beat a raid only to find someone has found a glitch and got the same reward as we did but could never for the life of them have done it the correct way, my advice ( should it be wanted) concentrate on yours and your friends achievements, celebrate them, enjoy them and forget about what other people do for it will only frustrate and disappoint you.

The first raid group for VoG took 11 hours on normal. Now I do it in 1 hour on Hard. That's the way of things. Worrying about the magical specialness of your time relative to what anyone else is doing is pretty futile and immature. ps. they are still way more bad ass than me even if I can do it 10x faster
-
I agree with you but this all began with VoG...people who cheesed VoG got ahead of the game...fast...and what bungie and tried to fix with CE they messed up bad..handing out gear faster and easier!! At least prior it took a lot of raids to Max to 30..now it's hand outs..which burns a lot of the core players which most are losing interest....there is no challenge to this game ....vog is still by far more challenging than ce...CE raid developers need to go back to square one and redo the raid it is sad people can solo the raid....yet the boss as well....it just shows the gamers are out doing developers thoughts ...
