Everyone, stop blowing past sections of strikes that aren't strictly required to progress. You are statistically missing engrams, and if you are trying to save time, every single skip-able section will save you maybe 20 seconds tops. You would have to play like 30 strikes in-a-row before that became significant. The same goes for running ahead when a teammate is grabbing ammo or whatever. If you wanna run like ten feet ahead to get the jump on enemies go ahead, but good lord people will gladly go a fifth of the level ahead of their teammates.
It's about having fun, stop stupidly trying to "maximize" your drops or whatever. As stated above, you are actually acting counter-intuitively to your goal.
For the hell of it lets see who agrees.
Edit* The consensus seems to be "Screw the other players." Sort of disappointing but there you have it, my question is answered. I'll continue to treat the anons like real people, myself.
Edit* If you are after marks(apparently not marks) and rep do patrol, I've checked and it's faster. If memory serves 25 rep from vanguard and 10-25 from patrols. You can knock out a patrol in like 3 minutes on the high end. More like one for many.
Edit* Dear god I am not talking about the patrol sections people.

2 отв.I go with the crowd. They skip i skip. Easy said. Just adapt. Its not line you have to actually follow them dude.
-
So my team ran by one time and I was stuck fight a couple minataurs and one of them dropped a legendary weapon engrams but because I killed them my teammates that ran past didn't get squat so let them suffer.
-
I'm good. I've done too many strikes to not speed run.
-
If it's just a strike you are only doing the strike for the rewards. Why waste time on the parts you don't need? Nightfall is a whole different story. Kill. Everything.........everything.
-
people want to win fast not stay in a strike for ages. Typically its either a specific strike for a specific enemy or just getting the end rewards. Sure you may miss some engrams along the way but you get guaranteed ones at the end. rng is not favorable in this game, go with the sure thing.
-
I disagree for nightfalls. It saves the risk of dying.
-
Try to keep up. I only do this when I'm really pressed for time, like if I'm being yelled at or something
-
It just gets to be a pain when your trying to rack up marks at the end of the week and you don't have time
-
If you fight where it is not required there is no garuntee to get engrams but it is a garuntee to get them at the end of the strike. So you get more rewards in the same time if you skip them
-
Nah man I can save quite a bit of time flying by on my breaker. Sometimes you can save over 5 minutes and I really don't care about missing a few green or blue engrams
-
Who cares...

4 отв.Изменено (ElonSkywalker): 12/13/2014 6:41:43 PMI try to follow the lead of others, if they skip I will, if they go slow and kill everything I will too.
-
7 отв.Oh also, since you can finish a patrol in 3 minutes and get your 10 marks, there's strikes that can be finished in 10 or less and you get 25 plus engrams. It's more time productive to do strikes and ignore anything that's not in a darkness zone. Nexus and Phogoth literally can be finished in 8 minutes.
-
To add to my comment and address some of your edits. Some people play strikes over doing patrols because patrols are largely done alone and can be more boring than strikes. It's not all about what's most efficient but what's most enjoyable while being as efficient as possible.
-
It seems every time someone runs past everything, I get a legendary engram.
-
Изменено (Barrier): 12/13/2014 7:06:03 PMIf someone wants to speed run then that's cool. What if that's fun for them? It's their game
-
2 отв.Missed e ngrams just go to the postmaster, problem solved and I'll play the way I want;)
-
I might miss 1 blue engram every 5th strike? OH NOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 If you want to kill trash mobs, go on patrol.
-
1 ответThere are many people-myself included who do not find the engram grind to be rewarding. I don't mind getting them at the end of strikes but for the most part I'm there for Rep or Marks. Doing the patrol sections while in strikes are a wasteful use of time in my opinion. That's what patrol mode is for.
-
1 ответMissing engrams lol. Nice joke there.
-
I don't care about engrams, I just want to get the strike done asap and get my marks and rep.
-
What do I need engrams for if I'm 3/4 raid gear?
-
If it's about having fun, we can all play our way.
-
I like taking my time just because Of the experience you get towards gear and weapons. It may not be much, but it's more than you get from not killing things. Plus the gunplay is so fun.

6 отв.They should make strikes able to be done solo w/o matchmaking so ppl don't have to sit with players that wanna kill crap all the way through. If you wanna sit and smell the roses rather than do a strike that has been done dozens and dozens of time, by all means, knock yourself out. If I've run the same damn strike 3-5x in a row your damn right I'm gonna blow past the bullcrap to get it over with. I'm not some engram hooker who NEEDS to pick up everyone that has the potential to drop. I have good weapons and armor wtf do I need to pick up more of that crap. They become mats. Which I don't even need. My crypt lvl is almost 40. Really? Wtf is he gonna give me that I haven't gotten yet? Another Gilgamesh shader or another God of war? Is that blue you wasted time collecting gonna drop into a exotic? Most of the time greens drop anyway, no. Will it be legendary? maybe but doubtful. Stop pissing in other peoples Cheerios just cause you want them to stop and smell the roses with you.
-
Meh if I run past and you kill them I'll still get Ma rewardz from post, normally do strikes just for bounties anyway like seriously who goes for random drops anyway
