Everyone, stop blowing past sections of strikes that aren't strictly required to progress. You are statistically missing engrams, and if you are trying to save time, every single skip-able section will save you maybe 20 seconds tops. You would have to play like 30 strikes in-a-row before that became significant. The same goes for running ahead when a teammate is grabbing ammo or whatever. If you wanna run like ten feet ahead to get the jump on enemies go ahead, but good lord people will gladly go a fifth of the level ahead of their teammates.
It's about having fun, stop stupidly trying to "maximize" your drops or whatever. As stated above, you are actually acting counter-intuitively to your goal.
For the hell of it lets see who agrees.
Edit* The consensus seems to be "Screw the other players." Sort of disappointing but there you have it, my question is answered. I'll continue to treat the anons like real people, myself.
Edit* If you are after marks(apparently not marks) and rep do patrol, I've checked and it's faster. If memory serves 25 rep from vanguard and 10-25 from patrols. You can knock out a patrol in like 3 minutes on the high end. More like one for many.
Edit* Dear god I am not talking about the patrol sections people.

3 отв.If I'm trying to level up a gun I'll kill everything. If I need to complete the strike for a bounty and I'm pressed for time (I need to log off in 10 min) then I'm riding my sparrow all the way to the boss if possible.
-
It's a play style. It's not right or wrong.
-
1 ответmy counter to this is moving at a steady enough pace that even if they rush ahead to a dark zone to try to wipe and rush everyone through I get in just in time so they just get killed and have to wait for revive,it's a simple and fair formula ,you act like a tool and try to rush everyone through ,I don't revive you when you die.
-
Engram drops can be very inconsistent. Finishing the strike guarantees engrams and possibly better materials. More finished strikes=more engrams I'll skip through most sections, unless my team mates show that they desire to kill everything.
-
If you ever make a clan with that rule let me know. Well I'm not a hard core player tho
-
I only do it when I'm like grinding the bad juju bounty or something of the like. I get so tired of killing those invisible D-bags after the servitors on the nexus.
-
3 отв.My reason is simple. I'm not in it for the blue drops I constantly get, I don't give a flip about them. I'm in it for the ending rewards. If someone wants to take their time, I'll pitch in, but I rather get this Toland's Legacy out of the way too.

5 отв.I make sure the darkness consumes us. Wanna slow me down? How about sending a message saying what you want to do? Turn on chat? If you won't do these I'll speed run and bring you to me.

If it's for fun then why argue? They are having fun and they are increasing your fun by letting you kill the useless enemies. Seriously, why do people get mad at people who run ahead? They are making the strike faster for everyone. They start the important sections, kill the important enemies, and focus on getting you through the strike as fast as possible. One example is the Phogoth strike. I can run through to the 3 waves at the door and begin the 2nd wave right when the others get there. Therefore, saving time. The 3 waves get completed and I run through the rest to phogoth. I kill the enemies at phogoth and I have all the minions cleared by the time my teammates get there. By doing this we are increasing our kill count by working 2 areas. Also I know my areas where I get first. So I know the spawn and can complete it quickly. Just keep complaining people are trying to save you time.

I only skipped strikes when I helped a friend do their exotic bounty for 25 strikes.

3 отв.Изменено (TheBeezNeez81): 12/16/2014 2:48:53 AMIf you don't want to skip, get a fire team. Otherwise, shut up, meg.

Glimmer. Throw on a glimmer getter and kill as much as possible in any strike.
-
2 отв.It depends on the people I'm running it with. If they are going through, I follow, if they are killing everything, I join in. The strikes seem to be a team endeavor, so I stick with my team, neither route bothers me.
-
I've seen an annoying trend of people attempting to do -blam!- all while riding their sparrow through the whole thing. If you do this in my fireteam I'm going to leave as soon as we reach the darkness zone.

22 отв.Изменено (Mayhem_Jonah): 12/14/2014 12:39:13 AMEdit 2 I will just put this at the top. Looked at your poll again. "UR wr0ng. Lol" What a condescending pile of crap. I have gone from thinking that you just need to be more understanding to seeing you are a jerk. u is a jerk. Lol. Speed run a strikes YOLO. Duuuuuuh Brah. That is how we sound to you, right? GROW UP. ********* It is just different. This argument has gone around, with several others, since the game was released. I like coke, if you like Pepsi you are wrong. I like blue, all other colours are silly. Justin Bieber is a wonderful musician. Yeh, well, that last one is a stretch... But you get the drift. How you play is not 'right'. How others play is not 'wrong'. Just because you get randomly matched with someone who likes to play differently does not make them the bad person. I have read just as many posts about the slow players that are to busy killing all the fluff while the rest of the team hits the boss... For the love of sanity can this community become more tolerant of other play styles? I get it, cheating is cheating... Infinite ammo, invincibility... Cheesing is not cheating, although some people do not like to play that way. Speed running or going slow... Just different ways to play. I do both from time to time by the way... Edit Wait until you meet the AFK player. He will hang around and not rush through to the boss for you. Or the lurker... Always hangs back and never engages the enemy. Yeh, rage at an active player. Energy well spent.

1 ответИзменено (UKF Void): 12/15/2014 9:24:16 PMYou are playing with randoms. If you want to play the 'entire' strike, invite some people who would like to do the same. Randoms will not do what you want to for the same reason you won't do what they want to. It's just something you'll have to deal with and get over.

1 ответMy teammates skip, I skip. My teammates kill everything on gods green earth, so do I.
-
1 ответUm. Blue engrams drop about twice during strikes if you kill everything. Plus the two or whatever you get in the end. Plus it's a chance for heavy so you can -blam!- the boss or at the very least, have more fun. Plus it's good fun having a full fire team DESTROY EVERYTHING FROM DIFFERENT ANGLES. My motto is "let nothing live". My cryptarchs at around Lvl 90. People who want to rush through things are only looking for a quick reward, when there's actually more of a reward from spending like 2 whole extra minutes. It's just silly guys. But it'll never stop. America = instant gratification whores
-
Is be glad if people didn't depart as soon as it starts
-
I skip, because I'm after the marks and the guaranteed rares at the end, not the reputation and not the chance at loot from spending 30 seconds to kill a mob
-
Easy fix would be more engram drops for more kills, but itll never be implemented
-
I only do that when I have a major time crunch.
-
You realize you are trying to explain "fun" to Carebears, right? It won't work. They don't understand "fun". They understand how to break and cheat and exploit. They understand crying and whining. They understand hoarding. But they don't understand fun.

9 отв.Nobody plays for the engram drops in game. Grinding for marks and getting engrams at the end negates what you just said. You can run through almost 2 nexus strikes in the time it takes to not blow through the pointless parts
