Before I bought destiny, I thought about how awesome this game is going to be with the ability to make your character look unique and legendary in it's own way, but then I reached level 20 and what I wore depended on the light level it had, and the higher the level people were the less unique the crowd looked. One day after a successful raid with my friend's I went to look at what dead orbit was selling, even though id never buy any of it because none of it would bring my light level any higher or increase my maximum damage, I saw this great looking helmet that I totally would have worn if it didn't decrease my maximum light level. I talked about this with my friend's and one of them suggested something like reforging, where you could take one piece of gear like a really cool looking gauntlet, and a higher light level gauntlet and swap their appearance. I thought this was a great idea so I decided to share it. Pro's 1. Allows a Unique look to player's after level 20 2. The higher the level you are, the more diverse you can look with more unlocked gear 3. Another way for people to spend glimmer, strange coins, or materials 4. Would make Eva Levante (guardian outfitter) a much more useful vendor for higher level people 5. Shader's/Emblems would no longer be the only thing making you look different from the crowd 6. Other unknown possibilities Con's 1. Exotic item's wont get the unique look they have 2. Could swap the looks of lesser armor with an exotic armor 3. Gun's/Armor may not look good with their corresponding stats 4. Other unknown possibilities Some way's you could remove a few cons could be to make this process expensive so people don't have a inventory full of reforged armor/weapons. Another could be that exotic's are not able to be reforged without an amount of exotic shards or not at all. What do you think about this?
