Really don't think it's a big deal. No one is being forced to do these upgrades and if you want to stand out and be more powerful as a guardian you have to work harder for it. Everyone always complains that everyone is the same and I feel like this edition to the game would make the hardcore stand apart from the casuals.. Just my opinion what is everyone's thoughts?

Yep in am cool with it. Rather that then then coming out with a whole new set of exotics that we would have to get. Not to mention how many exotics do you really need maxed up to 323. Pick 3 or four that are relevant to the new raid and leave the rest at 300.
-
i think the better thing to ask is how many exotics do people ACTUALLY use on a REGULAR basis? for me, it's maybe 4 and i haven't gotten gjallarhorn yet either. so it really won't be that difficult for me to upgrade them again.
-
I don't mind
-
2 отв.I don't care at all, I only use the Icebreaker anyhow. But I am a little saddened that my Fatebringer will become useless in time!
-
I'm with ya
-
I'm cool with it. Most games don't give you the opportunity to keep old gear relevant.
-
Изменено (Kuromugi): 12/4/2014 5:17:20 PMI don't mind a lot but I'm also not a protectionist who has 18 fully upgraded exotics for no reason except bragging rights either.
-
13 отв.I prefer it. Gives me a reason to play again.
-
I guess this DLC resetting makes the exotics 'worth' more opposed to the disposable legendaries. Just need to gather and upgrade the purples accordingly.
-
1 ответPeople keep saying you're not forced to reset your weapons. It's just like saying you're not forced to play the game at all. It's a terrible argument to make. Everyone who is upset about this is disputing a game design choice that they don't like.
-
People just seem to cry about everything in this game. I just hope with all these new weapons they will increase our vault space.
-
Nah man it certainly is no big deal at all. Most humans solely exist to complain about life being awful, why the sky is falling everyday and why the world should work the way they see fit. The world has become saturated by these types of people.

15 отв.I still don't get why people are so pissed off. I have a maxed out Ice-Breaker that I enjoy a great deal. Currently it sits at 300 dmg but now I have the OPTION to turn it around, make damage 300,where it already is,and then I can level it up AGAIN and make it do even more damage than that? Hell sign me up! Now,I can hear you casuals and CODfish that are screaming "But but...muh upgrades!" Half if not more of you are going to go RUNNING to Xur like women at a shoe sale to do this to your SUROS so you get the slow fire upgrade taken off again and it does the max damage again, arn't you? It's alright,we arn't going to like you any less. You worked to max out the upgrade tree, yeah,I get it. But don't the little CODfish do that when they prestige in COD 300 times? "Oh oh,I'm leet yo,I reset all my stuff 10 times already! I'm better than juu!" Face it you are just upset you have to actually work for that brand new damage cap again. It's a game, you bought it (Or mommy did in alot of your cases) and have continued to play it up to this point despite all your constant pissing and moaning. You are now faced with a choice. Accept it and move along or go find something else that you can enjoy, cause if you honestly feel the need to bitch this much about something you obviously arn't having any fun.
-
I like it tbh, it makes you chose what exotics you really want
-
Nah, it's not all that bad, could be worse. People would have you believe the world is ending.
-
i dont mind at all. no one is forcing you to do it. even after a reset you will still have a base damage of 300.
-
These -blam!- just want everything handed to them I don't get what the big deal is
-
Nope. You're not. Im not bothered by it in the least.
-
If it's just the perks I have to upgrade and not the damage then I'm fine with reset
-
At first I hated it then I learnt the reset keeps the damage at 302 and not 279 (could of been worded slightly better in the update) and I will only lose my perks, think the upgrading could of been implemented slightly better but its not too bad. I also want to know how exclusives are going to be upgraded since Xur doesn't have them in his loot table, unless he offers the upgrade and X-box users just have it grayed out when they go to the upgrade part.
-
I've got time. if I love a weapon, I'll level it up in time. So no, this update doesn't bother me too much.
-
I read that they're going to start at 300 if that's the case I'm fine with it
-
I'm a little irked by the resets but not upset. If they haven't changed the amount of experience required to level up weapons I'll have the first version of each of my exotics leveled up after about 2-3 days each. The trick? Play all 3 characters and do at least all of the daily bounties each day. You can probably do it faster doing the crucible as well but there are only so many hours in a day. I'm guessing that the last spot before requiring the Exotic Shard is going to bring you back to the 300 mark and the shard is what will take you to 325.
-
I don't mind but I don't like it either.
-
I think it's great that my gun will have more power

It's pure laziness in design to try and squeeze out playtime in a game that has little content, This like many other systems are intentionally designed to be the most lazy stupidest designed because the developers do not want to spend time to actually create content. In the end they are really only hurting themselves. If you piss off your paying customers, they won't be buying from you again. And before anyone says anything, look at the faction gear announcement as well. You have to rank up (in order to earn the commendations) each time you want to buy a piece of faction gear (since it will require commendations for each piece). Bungie is trying to develop this game as a MMO using the worst techniques, ignoring the history of other MMOs, and constantly stating that Destiny isn't a MMO (which it technically isn't). Moral of the story, don't trust Bungie.
