I have a few colorblind friends
1 who plays destiny and is almost 100% colorblind, like he has no idea what any items color is he has to hover over and read it.
He is fine with it its what he expects
Never seen him complain about it

You seem very upset that I might suggest that a more colourblindness friendly palette could be used. I can't say I really understand why? I don't know why you think it's lazy to prefer to be able to see the difference between the two engram types; do you think that it's somehow fundamental to the gaming experience? Why do you think that the colours should be ambiguous - there's a whole spectrum of colours to choose from? As for your achromatic or near achromatic friend - unfortunately I don't know if there's a simple solution for him, so his may be the acceptance borne of low expectations. If I am honest I have also come to expect that there will be aspects of unnecessary fake difficulty due to of ambiguity of colour in most videogames I play. It frustrates me as there need not be - as I mentioned earlier there are known coloursets that everyone (except achromatics and the blind) can differentiate between - and either selecting these colours initially or providing an option to use them is a relatively minor amount of development effort. Given the bunge are patching every week it seems likely that it could be squeezed in in a quieter patch period.

Other games have options for it its a simple request that does not affect you in any way so no need to flame..its like saying people with handicaps should get over it and just take the time to walk up the steps instead of using ramps
