I'm actually just now finding out about the communities thoughts on VoG continuing, and anyone who is familiar with Black Ops zombies mode knows that community is full of theorists and being one of them, AND a fan of Destiny I would love to give (hopefully) a fresh breath of air in the form of a new theory. Please reply on your thoughts! I'll start by playing off the OP and remind everyone of Bungies love of the number seven. In the Vault of Glass you are supposed to have six players, and trying to invite more players is impossible so why am I bringing all this up? Well in the case, I think Kabr is with us through the raid, in the form of the shield. I'm not familiar with the whole back story of Kabr, but if you look at his armor pieces (which are amazing looking btw) you'll notice the quote "Kabr fought the Vex alone, but somehow [b]they didn't kill him[/b]", we'll touch on that for a minute. Why would a "race" spare someone bent on wiping them out? Well, simply put, the Vex army was no match for Kabr, whatever he learned allowed him to manifest himself almost as a Vex himself, which is basically a combination of organic and mechanic life. I believe, in their final battle, Kabr made it to the Templar and was no match for the Vex army and Oracles, even by dropping the Templars shield, it was too overwhelming to attack and defend simultaneously. Eventually the Templar entered his rage mode and Kabr knew it was over. In a last ditch effort, he formed a pool of light in the spot he stood, and somehow fashioned himself into a relic that not only could not be destroyed by Vex, but concentrated pure light and Vex technology combined to result in the item to defeat the Templar, and eventually Atheon himself. Many years went by, the shield aging to point of deserving the title "relic". (This could have been any given time in our universe considering VoG is displaced in time, so 10 minutes in the vault could be a century to us, or vice versa) Fast forward to present day (in game) and as guardians, we are tasks with beating the vault. Of course we do, but we're so in the dark about the story, as players and as characters in game, we don't even realize that Kabr is right here with us, giving us the only means to beat the Vault. Now back to this "more to the vault" theory. [b]If[/b] there is more to the story, I would guess it's in the form Kabr, but my guess is as good as yours. Atheon dies, and he IS THE BOSS of the raid, so those expecting another boss will be let down because if there is anything left to this raid, it's small. I don't think there are more chests, I don't think there is another boss, but I've considered the idea of needing specific items in the form of Atheons Epilogue, and the Kabr armor pieces. I am also aware that the armor is class specific, but the fact that Bungie wants six players in the team should at least give you a small chance of picking up a Titan. So I propose a Titan, with Kabrs gear, and Atheons Epilogue play around in the vault, especially in the Templar room and Atheons room. I really wouldn't put it past Bungie to include a class specific goal in each raid, it promotes diverse teams and in a way, creates a leader (in the form of story) to lead us through 100%. So that was the greater part of my theory, I'll include all the quotes for Kabr's armor for those that want to build their own theories, or help back mine. Head: "Kabr fought the Vex alone, but somehow they didn't kill him" Chest: "In the aftermath, he became obsessed with machines" Arms: "He consumed their technology like fire. Fashioning armor from their remnants" Boots: "He was claimed by the vault, his Armor and myth are all that remains" Bascially, if you put the quotes in order as I have you see the short story that I based my idea from, thank you for reading.

Has anyone killed all Gorgons before? Wondering if that would trigger something?

I think for a game this repetitive and so lacking jn creativity you must be insane to think to VoG would be any different. I hope I am wrong though...

Just my personal opinion, there is nothing more. There is soooo many people playing the game and having theories about the Vault that it would have been cracked by now.

The secret to the VoG is that Bungie actually lied by saying we haven't explored it all. Simply to keep players playing.

My gut instinct tells me that he's referencing parts if your team being in the present, the past and the future. Teams call it "mars" or "Venus" when it's "past or "future" Therefore, if your alone say holding a plate open while the other 3 are in a portal they're there but they're not. Make sense?

Silly idea but 3 sync plates outside the vault and 2 inside , anyone tried having all 5 activated at same time?

Holy poop snacks. Highest hopes I done ever read. You really think Bungie would put in that much effort? Nah son. They were too busy trying to scrap together Destiny 2 before they finish this current game. Hell don't be surprised if we find out they are using content that was cut from this Destiny and pasted into its sequel. Bungie doesn't have time to make us truly love their game. Only time to take our money. Hahahaha.

I wish these posts would stop. The game is not what we thought it would be or [b]told[/b] it would be. Your in denial. Let it go... There is nothing secret in the vault. Everything in the game is dull and repetitive, the vault is no different.

Dude watch the vog secret area video posted by gamertime1226 I never knew you could get there, I tried with my hunter but seeing as both the titan and warlock have a more enhanced jump feature its pretty much impossible for me to follow, in the video kabar is mentioned in the area name along with an area called templars well

There is a possibility that we are missinterpreting the use of the word vault in the name. It may not be referring a vault like a bank vault but the actual large glass vaulted arch that Atheon spawns under.

I am in the Gorgons cave on Xbox One right now exploring. Has anyone found anything interesting? If anyone wants to join up and show me some places they've discovered and try to find new ones post your gt and we will explore a little bit and just hang out

There's 7 notes to the song, and there's 7 raid weapons (besides heavy). Now when you shoot enemies in Templars chamber during the defend the conflux stage you hear a note played, this is besides the normal conflux sound and is very noticeable. It may depend on having full raid gear equipped but I havnt verified that yet. So either playing the notes during the conflux stage, each with a different weapon, (atheons epiloge, VoC, atheons timepiece, fatebringer, praedyth revenge, pratorian foil, found verdict) or killing each of the 7 oracle's only with the same weapon. So each Oracle is assigned a weapon and must only be shot by that weapon.
