*NOTE: this post is in regards to the upcoming patch that will cause any 3 random people to be teleported during the Atheon fight, regardless of location.*
Good job Bungie.
I can see it now,
*3 players get teleported*
"Ok who will take the relic?"
"Uh, I'm not great with it"
"____ You should take it"
"Ok then I will take it."
*2 Oracles have already spawned*
*Minotaur is Half way up the stairs*
*blind by third oracle waiting for cleanse cool down*
Or better yet
LFG for VoG Have To Be Experienced With Relic, No Inexperienced Players. No Players below ____ Level. Must have 300 damage weapons, must be _____ subclass.
EDIT: This post is not about me, I'm speaking for the potential new players that will try the raid.

9 отв.Изменено (NinoMH): 10/19/2014 3:33:09 AMThe entire "inexperienced" debate and argument becomes moot if you actually clear the events prior to getting to atheon. The raid takes care of teaching people everything there is to know. Noone's a hero. everyone learns early on how to keep a plate clear (the entrance to the raid teaches everyone in the fireteam the mechanic) everyone learns how to kill oracles and what happens if you don't, in the event prior to the templar, it's the entire point of the event. to get you familiar with them. The only true possible issues of the change, is with the relic alone, and even that is not rocket science or difficult at all to understand. A few minutes and a couple of tries, and everyone can understand the concept. (a mission early on in the game shows you something similar) - and IF you are taking inexperienced players through, you have a couple of minutes to explain, and patience for a couple of tries. If you don't, then we go back to all of this being moot. The raid prepares you and teaches you how to deal with every single mechanic in the Atheon encounter prior to actually getting there. If as a player, you don't know that by the time you reach the final encounter, you haven't been paying attention AT ALL and you need to GTFO and stop raiding altogether. It will take a week tops for most people to adapt. If that. And the whole LFG No Inexperienced players, yada yada bullshit at the end, happens anyways, regardless of the change. Dicks will be dicks either way.

4 отв.Well folks, proving that tbis is completely wrong, I started a thread earlier hosting a raid group specifically for those that haven't raided before. So yes, some people will take inexperienced people into the raid. P.S. we have one more spot left, look at the post I wrote for more info.
-
Good thing when I was first learning the raid I made an effort to learn all the parts of it.
-
This man is right.

1 ответYou should be shooting while you're talking. That way when you finish speaking you pick it up.
-
2 отв.Well geez if i was Atheon i wouldn't even bother teleporting you id just walk right up in your shit and step on you if my harpies didnt suicide bomb you first. I mean really its supposed to also be the hardest raid in the game. When small groups of people can beat it in half an hour then theyre going to want to make it harder.
-
3 отв.Who cares? How do you think those of us who did the raid early on did it? We played it over and over until we got the experience and learned how to do it. Man up and play. Goddamn lazy, entitled kids.
-
1 ответI have no problem teaching Raid. Its just that I do not have 4+ hours to spend on raid. I get burned out afterawhile. Alot of people do
-
1 ответIt's glitching out and teleporting random people anyway.
-
Hate to say it but I agree.
-
My first attempt i did with inexperienced level 25s. Couldn't even open the damn gate lol. Found a second team, just listened to them and learned rather quickly on what to do.. Got to the final boss atheon and had half the people trying to push him off the ledge while other half tried doing it normally.. This patch is fine, will just make me learn what to do inside the portal
-
5 отв.The new players should watch YouTube videos to learn how to do the raid before blindly tumbling into the VOG. That solves your problem.
-
1 ответSucks to suck. I guess people should git gud.
-
I honestly think this is bungies sneaky way of keeping people interested without doing much. Think about it. They make a small change in code and people will feel like its a "new" challenge. Thereby keeping them interested. That or their just sadists.
-
start your own group and you can bring all the inexperienced raiders you want.
-
Totally agreed way to take strategy out of your hardest raid thx bungie
-
Agreed. I think its stupid. My team uses to take people all the time, we decided not to anymore because of that
-
1 ответI'm glad i don't have to deal with that problem, my raid group is all set to tackle any challenge thrown in our way! Bring it on!
-
11 отв.Watch youtube guides on how to do the raid. Join a raid team and say you're experienced. Works 10/10 ~IGN
-
Sadly this will most likely be the case. I've done the raid over 30 times and I can say I for one will be less willing now to drag along two or more new guys.
-
2 отв.I love seeing all the idiots post comments about how they take inexperienced players through the raid now, so it's fine. Doing raid now is easy. You only have to teach one person how to use the relic and two people how to shoot oracles and help with the Minotaur. The other three just have to keep the portals open and keep the adds away. After the next patch, everyone will have to know how to use the relic, everyone will have to know how to shoot the oracles, everyone will have to know how to keep the portals open and keep the adds away. That means it will be far more difficult to bring inexperienced plays into raids to teach them than it is now, so your opinions on how it works now are completely -blam!-ing irrelevant to the topic at hand.

1 ответИзменено (OptimusRhyme): 10/19/2014 4:01:29 AMthe scenario that you're describing is only if you're silly enough to not have already decided who can/cannot/is going to take the relic and all those types of things, before hand when youre killing the gatekeeper or something. and youre all just trying to wing it, explain as you go along or something. which indicates no patience. as NinoMH said in this thread....if you started the raid from the beginning and havent jumped in on someone elses checkpoint and you're not 12 years old and ARE able to follow instruction/pay attention or learn from what you are doing, then the encounters teach you along the way as its needed so that you're ready for atheon
-
5 отв.VoG is an extremely easy raid to teach to new players, specially the last encounter, you just need to be patient and give constructive criticism that's all.
-
1 ответOh well Every time I ask people in normal if they know how to use the relic, no one asks if they can try I forced my self to use it so that every time I play there isn't a dead silence when it comes to using the shield So now you have to learn how to play. I love it Im tired of just carrying people on normal when I need the clear for my alts Learn how to play.

It's to make it more challenging. What's so fun about predictability? Also, those who only want people who have experience because they just want to rush through the raid even though it is setup so you don't have to but oh well. I hope they make it harder as going to enjoy the challenge when I find a group to run the raid and am not going to expect to finish quickly.
