My Destiny Experience So Far

I bought the game a week or so after release without having time for the beta. I do not consider myself a gamer though I've played quite a few in my day. My favorite games have been mass effect and the elder scrolls games. Sadly, ESO isn't on Xbox one yet (and yes, I heard it sucks, oh well), so I was hoping destiny could literally fill the void of both fantasy mmo and sci fi thriller. For someone who plays about 0-10 hours per week, I feel like I have plenty to do. I only have some blue items, just recently got to level 20, and still haven't completed the story. I revel at the game on days that I can avoid the girlfriend and gym and just sit at home for a few hours after work, and destiny appears to be made for people like me. Let me just state the other thing that I love: it's the first game to really look and feel next gen. I felt robbed when I bought the Xbox one only to realize that it's not getting any love, the interface sorta sucks, and truly, the Xbox 360 still feel better than the one. Destiny made the console worth it, not just for graphics, but at how damn smooth the graphics are. When when mobbed by like 16 bad guys with guns and grenades and specials going off, there has literally not been a single hitch experienced. But, I unfortunately have the same opinion as a lot of people on the story. Yes, a game doesn't have to have a story to be fun, but next gen video games at $60+$40 or more for expansions NEED better development in immersion into the story. Destiny has the grimoire but let's be real, you didn't buy a Harry Potter book only to be told to go online to figure out what's happening. Nor did you watch Scarface to be told to finish the story in a deck of cards. I understand that it's a "long term" project, but if I max out the game in 2 weeks of owning it and am told to just let it sit for a month until the next content becomes available.. Well, I won't be purchasing the expansions. Even worse is that the social experience on Xbox one, not just destiny, is atrocious. The only real reason an MMO gets popular is because your friends can play with you and it's a unique experience. Either way, I know I'm going to get super trolled on this post but I just wanted to put my two-cents out.
