Was just reading about the 10 year plan and really really like the idea of that. Why release a new game every couple of years when you can release one base game and expand it constantly? The mechanics of the game are great, just keep adding content, new worlds, new maps, new gear, new story lines, increased level caps etc, all while keeping the same characters and not having to start over every time destiny 2 and destiny 3 come out. This is a great way to run a game, easy for Bungie to support and upgrade, easy for me to buy in to and look forward to new content in the long term. I've not seen many complaints about the game mechanics, more about the story or lack of content, those are easily fixed. The gameplay is superb, the gun mechanics, the physics, the levelling up and loot systems. Long live Destiny I say!

  • I completely agree but I don't really want to by into a game unless it is gonna be worth it. last dlc I got was BF4's second assault cause nostalgia, I am gonna get the second and third DS2 DLC cause I enjoyed them, but I don't want to pay a games worth for DLC that is gonna be worthless. I do like when games bring out the game plus the dlc, like Skyrims legendary edition, Dark Souls Prepare to Die edition and so on, or they could do what Mass did, keeping the same character and suchlike... oh what is with the second slot of the subclass? the rpg elements is a bit dull, I like the feel of picking the perks I want instead of getting them periodically and in a specific order. and their is no real difference between the classes and races and suchlike... Cabal are gears of war/40K roidies, Fallen are robotic Alians (from the film and games) minus the epic tails. and the Vex are third handed Terminator's. just a little rant, but I do like it don't get me wrong, it does feel like a switch on, switch off kinda game, instead of an intensely immersive day-long-forget-the-time-of-day-game. The lore is lacking along with the story, I mean Souls is famous for it's learn-the-story-yourself but Destiny takes that and makes it literal, the grimoire is a cool idea but is annoying- *oh to learn the game you've to kill enemies to the point of boredom and beyond that. to learn what that building is or to learn what that particular enemy is that you've killed 3000 times.)
