Legendary engram! (oh wait, its another rare)
The title pretty much says it all.
I have obtained nearly ten legendary engrams so far and only one turned into a legendary (boots for a hunter, not even my class). I don't know if other people are having similar issues with how the legendary engrams work. It might just be horrible RNG (if so, I have angered the random number gods). Its really not exciting to even get a legendary engram anymore because its more likely to be useless than useful. Its not 100% useless, it really helps my cryptarch which is awesome! However, I need more than just cryptarch levels and mats from these things.
My question is: Are engrams working as intended (and I just don't get it)? if not, how could they be improved?
EDIT: Thanks for all the comments. I think a better system would be to make legendary engrams more rare, but much more likely to give out legendary or exotic equipment. This way you're excited all the way to the cryptarch. This would maintain the legendary equipment being rare, but make engrams feel more special than they currently do

I got a legendary fusion rifle. I was stoked that i got the engram from crucible, let down a bit that it was for a Special weapon, then i nearly cried when i saw it was a fusion rifle. I honestly hate using fusion rifles...

Join the club. I get PLENTY of legendary engrams, not ONE exotic. I kind of like it though because it's makes the Exotic weapons and armor so much more exclusive. I hope Bungie doesn't change the system too much.

Working fine for me. 2/3 Legendaries/Legendary engrams, and about 90% blue:blue. I believe you may have simply angered the RNG gods my friend.

6 отв.Yup date as of this morning I have redeemed 47 purple engrams (legendary) I haven't received even one single piece of legendary gear. A few coins, but mostly blue items that are actually not nearly as good add what I have. If this is the kind of grind this game is going to be it may not actually be for me. I'll keep going for a while but it's not looking too good.

Rares do the same thing, more often than not, it's green, it's not meant to be easy lol

No one knows the exact % of anything right now. I had 7 engrams 2 of which were legendary. And another legendary from a blue engram.

2 отв.I've had 5 legendary engrams and 1 exotic engram I've gotten 6 motes of light, 3 ascendant shards, a blue pair of boots, and a green helmet. I pick them up now and don't even want to deal with them because it's always a huge disappointment

Legendary engrams are rare enough as it is. Just having them drop purples wouldn't make the gearing process any easier.

I got lucky a blue engram gave me a purple scout rifle and found legendary sniper rifle

Shoot, I've found a total of 23 legendary engrams. 12 decrypted into Motes of Light, 7 into blues, 1 into Titan boots (I'm a warlock) and 1 into gloves that I already had better of. It's a crapshoot lol

1 ответYour complaining because its not handing you a shit ton of legendarys. The rare engrams give green more than half the time. Read the description of the item and you will see that blue items can come from legendary engrams

They are working as intended. It's luck of the draw. Legendaries wouldn't feel very legendary if everyone had them within the first week!
