Beta character content transfer.
I would prefer a bungie rep to reply preferably, however I'm not expecting them too.
First, I understand both sides to this debate - character content should transfer and/or not transfer.
It makes more sense to transfer you characters and items that you acquired, otherwise it would mainly defeat the purpose of destroying the beta. Meaning there would be no point in trying to earn an item in the game - I.e. 40 spinmetal ( I got 40 and quickly realized that the effort involved to acquire that amount was a waste of time ), bikes, and ships.
It would also defeat the purpose of gearing your character for anything and saving onto higher level items that can't yet be used.
And there is an equal playing field; the people that invested the time in the beta should be ahead of the people who did not partake in such events.
However, I can see the benefit to starting everyone at level 1 and still being able to hold onto all of your gear.
Then again, no level 8 has gear for a level 1 toon.
That then means all beta players that geared for higher levels and good gear would be at a disadvantage to someone who hasn't played the game before, because they are geared for level 1. Which would defeat the purpose to playing the beta.... other than the 26th event, and preexisting experience to the game with a general knowledge of how the game performs and what to do.
remember too, a lot of people who invested time did the beginner quests tons of times. So to reset them would be an insult to them because they would have to do everything all over again.
My personal opinion, let the players keep their gear and levels. It's honestly not that big of an advantage. And the people who invested more into the game should get more out of it.

3 отв.Screw all of that. The reason why is: the beta existed purely for the purpose of testing the servers, and finding problems in game that could only be found through organic gameplay. I get it. For a while I wanted to keep my stuff, until every hunter in the beta had the same cape, armor, weapons, emblems, ships, you get the point. Why the hell would you just want to be a clone running around with no real identity? Stop burning bras over the beta and wait for the full game that has rare loot you can use instead of look at nerds.

5 отв.I maxed out all three classes on PS3 and Xbox One, played over 57 hours in total and have a vault full of stuff on both accounts. However, I don't think beta characters should transfer to the full game. The only gear I would like to keep are my Iron Banner Legendary Class Items and the Legendary Emblem, maybe also my ship. I don't really care about the rest because you will probably outlevel your gear pretty fast when the full game is released in september. Leveling to lv.8 can be done in about 2,5 hours... How do you play Destiny? Speedlevel to lv.20 and start farming for the best Legendary gear in the game...who needs lv.10 [b]rares[/b] if a lv.12 [b]uncommon[/b] might be way better?

2 отв.I wish they would give us some answers on the matter. PLEASE REPLY BUNGIE!!! I think level carry over is a great idea because personally all the hours we've put in testing their game and getting frustrated with glitches will feel like it was all worth. and why shouldn't we have an advantage when the game is released, we pre-ordered it and took the time to play the beta so yes we should get to progress through those locked sections that we've all entered and fought un-winnable battles with unkillable foes. I personally cannot wait to reach level 9 so the sooner the better. fingers crossed

1 ответIn my opinion yeah it would be cool to keep the gear and the level but over all it was awesome to actually play the beta before everyone else. Destiny has become a rather longed for game in my eyes and I can tell you now I will be sitting on the edge of my seat counting down the days for the retail release. But honestly the only reason why I would like to keep my gear is because in my eyes I found some really cool gear and even if I didn't keep the gear and was reset I'd like to at least keep my hard worked for reputation scores, my glimmer and my vanguard and crucible marks. They weren't easy to obtain and having a large sum of money with a level reset starting from level 1 right at the beginning of it all is an advantage in and of itself.

3 отв.They have said that there will be some "permanent rewards" from playing the beta. They have also said that your character per system family can be shared. Unfortunately I fear that means that all of the work I do in the beta will be for nothing as I am planning to jump from my xbox360 to the new Destiny PS4. I have seen no word on whether the beta rewards will transfer. Again I do not think Bungie will respond to this as the answer will be "You're screwed" and it will cause outrage to people in a similar situation. If the rewards do carry over I am sure we would have heard by now.

9 отв.A beta is for testing purposes. If anyone read when they pre-ordered the game the beta cost $25. Free with pre-order. We are watched as we play for them to collect data on game play and issues they will have to fix in the future before the game is released. As well they are giving out special things in the game so i doubt some stuff will not be carried over. ON saturday at 2:00 p.m. eastern time something will be given to persons on. this was announced on the xbox 360 beta. Over all this is a testing system. Be glad they have allowed you to test a game that is not finished yet. Others have to sign up to be beta testers and have to report issues on the game. None of us have to do that.

17 отв.the "ENTIRE POINT" of the alpha and beta is to find bugs, get feedback, fix the bugs and test the network stability and improve everything in between. yeah it would be cool if we keep our stuff in the retail but it's not the end of the world if it's not.. and "the people that invested the time in the beta should be ahead of the people who did not partake in such events." r-really? i don't know about you but theres no race to be top player in games like this. it's just a game. nothing more. equality for ALL and dont give a shit about the rest.
