I died like how all good and honourable men should, on their feet and in battle. I wasn't much more than a scrawny grunt, cannon fodder on the frontlines to be thrown into the meat grinder of war. Before they came, I had finished my education on earth. Sent to mars to work on various machines, mostly on the hydro farms. 118 days into my life on the red dust ball came the broadcast, declaring my new home to be under attack by foreign entities. The sonic booms still audible within my reinforced and sandblasted hovel. Instead of following evacuation procedure I looted the corpse of the Martian Defence Force. He no longer needed his equipment. Armed with a scout rifle I set out to take as many down before I fell myself. My first kill was that of a higher being in their hierarchy, simultaneously saving a member of the higher echelon of the Martian Rats regiment. Safe to say I was quickly drafted. We had several skirmishes later that day, each one left the MRR fewer in number. The city still stood though battered and broken. We were the last ones standing to see the next day, 42 of us. The enemy surrounded us, and the Commanding officer I saved the day previously asked me "Why did you decide to stay and fight and resist the urge to run?". With certainty and with no shadow of doubt I reply "How can a man die better?" Then the raid sirens boomed out their unnerving whirring. The sand gains height as the wind sweeps in. Silhouettes in the in the rising storm march ever closer. The clatter of metal and muttering of whispers as the men and women check their weapons and speak their prayers. We step up to the self drawn line. The CO takes a deep breath before belting out "Fix bayonets!", another clatter of metal as they attach their bayonets. I had already fixed mine, I knew what was to come. The CO takes another breath and belts out her last order "CHARGE!" Manically as a wall of human flesh and worn armour, churning out bullets into enemy after enemy. Our distance closes even closer as the enemy charges us. I sink my bayonet into many of them one after the other. Despite this we fell one by one. Eventually it was just me and the CO. I discarded by rifle, my ammo had run out. Unsheathing my knife and upholstering my sidearm, I shoot and slash with the last of my energy. Suddenly I feel a warm spray upon my back. I turn around to see the CO impaled upon a oversized sword. I stride over to her shooting wildly into the creatures head. It falls dead but before the CO falls to the ground I catch her. Kneeling down and resting her body against mine. I try to calm her mind and ease her passing "Honour the dead, And fight for the living For united we...." I never got to finish it before I was awoken. Though my awakening was more harrowing than those events. I felt cold and stiff, I brought my hands into view, gone was the flesh of organics. Replaced by a cold inorganic exoskeleton, not sure if any part of me was left. "Exo" they called me, not that I cared. I remained silent, focused. My sight set on those who took her away and myself from me. A timid Mechanic shuffles over to me and stretches out her arm and unfolds her hand, revealing a pendant. Like one similar to the CO's, I take it giving the mechanic a silent nod of acknowledgment. I take a knee at that very spot and swear an oath: "I shall avenge you, And find you in the next world, But for now I shall Honour the dead, And fight for the living, For united we stand, and divided they'll fall". [spoiler]Am I spamming this about? yes, yes I am. But -blam!- it this is 10-20mins of work and I rarely allow myself to be proud of my it.[/spoiler]

I have a Male Human Titan who was a Roman Praetorian that died when Rome was laid to siege by Germanic tribes. A female Awoken huntress who was a sniper for the Russians when they invaded Afghanistan.

I have an actual backstory but to make it short I kill myself by giving a child the trigger to a bunch of planted explosives in a hospital and told him that if he pressed it, all his dreams would come true. Everyone died and my mind was transferred into an Exo so I'm an Exo now.

I died in a freak Pogo stick accident involving a Banana, About a gallon of Crisco, some pixie sticks, and a very pissed off dwarf.

I was a hunter from the dark ages of old times. The era of knights, kings, mystery, and myth. As a kid I turned out to be quite the marksman with my favorite weapon being my sturdy long bow, but I also loved throwing daggers. As I grew older, I taught myself many tricks honing my skills and sharpening my blade. I hunted alone like wolf strayed from the pack to fend for itself. Hunting down and tracking many with unparalleled accuracy, stealth and precision. Big risk for even bigger rewards. Last I remember my final stand was in a dense jungle ambushed and pitted against an unknown enemy. Left with only my knife and And long bow But I managed to hide from them and took my last breaths while blending in with the foliage around me. Death was not something that scared me, in fact I welcomed it with a knowing smile like seeing a long lost friend taking you home. I closed my eyes and darkness enveloped. After an Eternity's End I awoke somehow with my head pounding and my joints aching. I quickly stood up and took stock of my surroundings. It was the middle of the night and everything was dark and quite. It appeared I was still in the same jungle that I "died" in an Eternity ago. My bow was slung across my back and my knife was in hand. Thats when I saw a floating being of small size above me. He said "Wow would you look what I have found all the way out here." This just came to me hope you like it

I used to be alive... But then I took an arrow to the knee.

He woke up in another day in the late 21st century. Same old, Same old. Wake up. I love to sleep, he thought. Then he remembered. Today was the day in which he gets to pilot this new prototype vehicle. "It's like a fast hovering bird." They always told him. "It works similar to a motorbike." He loved vehicles. Flying, driving, boating and now hovering. But that didn't break his thoughts about the dream he just had. A wonderful Russian city with a majestic white ball floating in the sky above. He was brought into his dream by a robot which had a bright feeling to be around, it was rather odd. Small floating and had an awesome voice. He learned about the futuristic weapons, the aliens, the vast history and most of all the powerful magic. He liked to call it "Space Magic!". He loved the space magic. But sadly, that's a dream. "The closest thing to magic and space is science" He told himself. He got on his fast red bike which he liked to call 'Sparrow' and started to drive to the lab where he will test the new floating bike. He arrived and was surprised to see a massive crowd of people all waiting to see this new bike. His boss came up to him and said "We don't have a name!! We need one got any ideas?" At first he didn't know what boss meant but quickly realised he was talking about the bike. "Sparrow." He enthusiastically said. "Brilliant!", His boss replied "now go up there and ride it!" He walked up there. It felt like he was on a stage getting a lot of attention. despite the hundreds of people it was silent. He got on the sparrow, it's engine roared, he loves it already. "Ready...", he thought "Set... GO!" He sped along the road, impressed by the Sparrow, no one in the audience seemed impressed. He saw a bump in the road, he went right up it, but the Sparrow had nothing in it to keep the bottom facing down whilst this high. The asphalt was getting closer and closer till... He woke up. Or was he asleep. The air felt like his dreams. He stood up and gazed at the giant floating ball above him. He gazed in awe unaware of the small robot trying to get his attention. When the robot finally got his attention he stared at it the small floating robot, the one from his dreams, Ghost. This felt too real to be a dream. He continued to stare at Ghost. "This is no dream." it seemed to of practiced those words "Be brave. Your destiny awaits." EDIT: Wow that was longer than I thought it was. lol. Hope you enjoyed. :)
