As we all know Halo CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3 were smash hits. Halo Reach and Halo 4 were a huge drop off in terms of multiplayer. Halo 2 and Halo 3 both had extremely large multiplayer populations while Reach and specifically Halo 4 have had very small populations. So this begs the question: What went wrong? In your opinion what things caused people to stop playing Halo MP after Halo 3?

2 отв.I liked the Halo Reach multiplayer the best out of all of them. I don't understand why so many people don't like it.

Loadouts in MM

1 ответI liked Halo Reach Multiplayer the best, bring it on.

1 ответHalo Reach had the best multiplayer IMO.

1 ответHalo 5 Game sucks.

Reach was a little uncomfortable, but acceptable. Halo 4 took it too far by decreasing health, removing Sangheili, bringing up the speed of everything except the vehicles (which are now ridiculously slow and take forever to reload), no UNSC flying vehicle, new loadout system, and no weapons on the maps.

Изменено (Tu Chocolate Caliente): 5/15/2014 12:05:08 AMToo me it was the updates that both bungie and 343 kept releasing after the game launched. Both Halo reach and halo 4 started amazing but the amount of updates regulating and "fixing" weapons started making the game less fun. People complained about losing a match and blamed it on the weapon's bloom or spartan's health or something. Halo 4 took the most important things that made a halo game fun and threw them out.(The freedom of custom games, like taking out infection mode in favor of the flood mode for example). Spartan ops was bland, you played as characters that are barely mentioned in-game and the Spartan ops central characters were a group of idiots and everything was repetitive. Halo 4 gave us an amazing campaign and story, but the multiplayer failed a little, specially in the maps and the almost infinite abilities like sprint and health regen. Hell i remember in halo 3 those amazing warthog battles that occured during matchmaking, now i just throw 2 grenades and a warthog is dead.

2 отв.Not going full CoD, if you're going to do it don't do it half assed. I expect 25 kills for a Halo ring in the next Halo along with ADS, increased kill times and Search and Destroy.

Because streamlining a game to keep up with the casual crowd is the wrong way to do business. Casual gamers want variation, and Halo doesn't have the defining features which made it unique anymore.

28 отв.Hilarious. Halo attempts to innovate and try something new, everyone flips a bitch. Call of Duty never changes anything, and everyone here hates it. Wat

When they tried to get too innovative. I'm that's kind of Bungie's thing you know? Experiment and learn. At least that's how it seems to me. I'm just hoping the results from Destiny wil be better then that of the later halo games. I think the biggest loss from 3 to reach, to 4 was custom games. We could do crazy shit in 3, just by making rules for ourselves to play the game, but when the devs tried to implement some of those rules officially it broke things. And then it seems like 343 just tried to throw them all out and force players into matchmaking.

It hasn't.

-
Reach, which was a bungie game. Now if people would realize that bungie ruined mp and 343 tried to make it better then things would be much better
-
I think 343 thinking that Reach's success was due to the changes is why it's where it is now, if they would haven't changed it so drastically Hal 4 would have played a lot better

Halo 2 and halo 3 had loads of innovation compared to "remarketed cod style" of halo 4 which the campaign and multiplayer where lacking in terms of story and halo 4's bland same old multiplayer. Halo 2 is my favorite game of all time. Due to its amazing innovative story to its rememberable multiplayer which had some of the best map designs in Halo history.

Bungie slowed the game down too much for most people in Halo Reach. In Halo 4 people were angered by the apparent Call of Duty features and the damaged Big Team gameplay alongside the unbalanced weapons at launch. Many of these problems have been fixed, but people never want to come back.

3 отв.Too many gimmicks that diluted the simple formula. Then 343i took those gimmicks, supercharged them to make them even worse and then cut out a load of stuff that we actually did like. Trade in your Elites and get ordinance drops. Trade in your Falcons and get instant respawn. Trade in your Assault and get a stripped down CTF. Worst deal that one. Trade in your Invasion and Firefight and some awful game mode who's name shall not be uttered. Drop pods! Eggheads! Eggheads! Drop pods!

For me at least it felt locked down. You couldn't play the game out of the norm or you were credit banned and accused of doing something you shouldn't be doing. It wasn't unusual for me to play "nade only, stealth only, dual wield only etc in halo 3 which for me was fun. When reach came around I had to stop and it became repetitive pretty quick. Plus Zombies sucked ass.

armour abilities m8. can't dumb down halo without making it crappy.
-
4 отв.Well a big reason people didn't/don't play halo 4, is because it isn't bungie.
