It should stay on offline mode unless you change it, or if it has the kind of rare hiccup. If the XB1 did this, then I doubt there'd even be a problem. The XB1's original policies aren't viable at this time, as the internet is still highly unreliable in a lot of places and there are still many without high-speed internet access. If this wasn't the case, again, I doubt there'd even be a problem.

They're still planning on implementing them in the near future. They never abandoned them. I for one, welcome it. It is the future of the industry. :)

So the men and women on military bases, for example in the USCG in Virginia do not have a stable Internet connection. Hell, some of them have to go to an arcade or Starbucks for Internet. I don't think they deserve to be fcked over by Internet mandatory connections of the "future."

lol I was in the military. The Marine Corps in the 90's and past the year 2000. We had stable internet then, even overseas. Any claim to the contrary is over-hyped, well over-exaggerated bullshit. lol

Hi, I'm from rural Minnesota in the 2010s, and my internet is still spotty, because of wonderful things like oligopolies, which are fairly common in much of the United States. Now, I'm not saying you are full of shit and have no idea what you are talking about... But you are full of shit and have no idea what you are talking about.

My brother doesn't and he's in Suffolk, Virginia in the USCG. It's not an exaggeration. It's the truth. No need to be condescending.

Изменено (nao): 10/25/2013 11:02:29 PMI was in the Navy. Stationed in Japan and Korea mostly. Plenty of times when we had shit connection or no connection. Especially when deployed.

There's your problem, you were in the Navy... lol
They're still planning on implementing them in the near future. They never abandoned them.
They plan on bringing some of the features back in the future, but not just landing them onto you in a single hit. It's obvious they'll revise the online connection deal to make it less draconian.
I for one, welcome it. It is the future of the industry. :)
I'll welcome it in the future when it's a viable option.

Oh, no, bro. I know they won't do it in one hit. That would be ignorant. But I do relish the day when it's an online-only industry and DRM for security becomes the norm. But there's the difference in our opinions. I felt perfectly comfortable with the way MS was originally going to implement it. Others did not feel so good. But it was not a bad feature.

What they had planned isn't viable at this point in time. Yes, you may not have had any problem concerning the DRM, and those who didn't have a problem with it were few and far between for it to even be worth keeping it as no where near as many units would sell. As I said, when the Internet is more reliable and is readily available to almost everyone who will use a console, then it'll be viable.
